Why Cybersecurity is a Major Concern for IoT?

Mitigating IoT Cybersecurity Risks
To address these cybersecurity concerns, several measures can be implemented:

• Robust Authentication and Encryption: Ensuring strong authentication mechanisms and encrypting data both in transit and at rest can help protect IoT devices from unauthorized access.
• Regular Software Updates: Implementing mechanisms for automatic and timely software updates can help mitigate vulnerabilities as they are discovered.

• Adherence to Standards: Manufacturers should adhere to established security standards and best practices during the design and development of IoT devices.
• User Awareness and Education: Educating users about the importance of securing their IoT devices and following best practices, such as changing default passwords, can reduce the risk of cyberattacks.
