    Good morning!

  • Hi Gerry ,
I'm Nathan aka Network Nate, just wanna say that I appreciate everything you do, it cannot be easy because you are a busy family man but you insist on doing all that for us and I appreciate the makeshift studio 🎙️ episodes when away from home and things don't work well because that just demonstrates the dedication even more vividly. I admire what you do and again thanks for everything 🙏🇿🇦

Vermont story: I'm all for small business owners like you and me and several others not having to deal with this issue, however big business needs to step up and take responsibility, mainly because they are usually involved with the collecting, selling, and buying of data in general. People should be able to sue. It would make businesses take data privacy more seriously. We all know they do not at this point. Included in the language of that law to sue should be wording that specifies which party is to be held accountable, if it is a third party then they would be who could be sued. I think this is a step in the long run towards a US version of GDPR.

#TeamSC, #TeamReplay. For the story about the Vermont Governor, in your example of Simply Cyber employing the services of a third party vendor for the news letter, how would Simply cyber not be at least partially responsible if that vendor is breached? Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't something like security requirements be in some type of agreement like an SLA. Also, if I remember correctly, it would be Simply Cybers responsibility to ensure that the third part vendor meets or comes close to meeting their security requirements. Meaning Simply Cyber accepts some risk if there is a gap between Simply Cybers security requirements and what the vendor has.

About the "Notorious GRC" thing, remember that they did the same thing for Ruth Bader Ginsburg's biography, "Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg." She had the crown on the cover and everything, lol.
