The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says three deputies are facing charges for evidence tampering in relation to a December arrest.

    I met a man that was arrested for disorderly conduct. He had $900 in his wallet. When he was released the jail gave him $100. They said the $800 was for they’re costs. When I order a police report, I pay any where from 5-10 dollars. If they can’t give me the report, they tell me they keep the $ for the clerk’s time. Even though they processed my request in bad faith. In Colorado.

    This sherif is an exemple how to be a responsable law enforcing officer. He explain clearly every case to the public no non sense just facts and proof no mather if its a criminel or a deputy.

    This is rare $700 😂 how about 10k? Most people never get their money back. In some cases like carrying cash on the way to purchase a vehicle.

    WE WOULD LOVE THIS ALL TO BE TRUE BUT THIS SHERRIFF WANTS TO BE JUDGE AND JURY — THAT IS NOT HIS JOB — THE SAME WITH DICTATORS — AND THEY ARE USUALLY FOUND TO BE EXACTLY THE SAME OR WORSE .

    Always record your interactions with gang/crime/drug suppression officers.
    All evidence including complaint records is admissible in a court of law.

    Never was too sure about this sheriff until now, seeing how hard he is on drug crimes, but seeing him hold his own department to the same moral accountability he preaches earns a lot of respect from me.
