In 1992, one year after the high-profile case of police brutality against Rodney King, The Oprah Show hosted a forum in Los Angeles in which members of the audience took turns sharing thoughts on every element of the case—from the assault footage and subsequent riots to the court proceedings, the verdict and role of the media in sculpting public opinion. As you will see, the guests had not come to a consensus on who was in the right, who was in the wrong, and what should have been done to ensure a case like this would never happen again. In many ways, this studio audience was a microcosm of America at that time. For more on #oprahwinfreyshow, visit WatchOWN.tv/TOWS

An Oprah Show Audience Weighs In on the Rodney King Verdict | The Oprah Winfrey Show | OWN
Rest in love, Louis Gossett Jr. (1937-2024)
RIP Louis Gossett Jr
“I don’t see color” biggest lie ever told lol
1:42 What a cutie pie. Poor thing
Uhhh Lou Gossit you goof it’s “One nation, indivisible,” not ‘individual’ hehe shows how smart you are buddy, stick to your acting roles because you just embarrassed yourself. And people in the comments are not pointing that out because maybe they thought he said the correct thing.
It's amazing that blacks use their past to Justify their Actions. And king was a career criminal
Black women need to be careful that they not hooking up with a white supremacist..😡 We still here today, nothing has changed. We not "getting along" Rodney King…rest in peace..😩❤
2023 Nothing has changed
Rodney King
Even with video evidence racists have been denying and projecting since they invented racism. I thought it was just since the age of smartphone cameras.
Late April/Early May 1992.
This ish still goin on today SMDH
What's goings-on with that suit
Whos watching in 2023 ?! 😢
Pledge Allegiance? They still doing that? 🤔
Oprah likes to flash the masonic 666 sign. Look at her hands! She needs to tell the masses why she flashes this sign a lot. We are tired of freemasons keeping secrets from us Oprah.
People are not born racists.
Hate and racism is taught by the parents. This shouldn't be.
God made us all equally human.
1992 to 2023 and nothings change
The white guy is making no sense
For her to say she doesn’t see color similar to white people is infuriating. Unless you’re literally blind you do see it. How could you not?? Cops certainly see it or else they wouldn’t know who to kill and who to take alive. It’s ALWAYS one!!!
2023 same conversation..
The thing with Rodney King that NOBODY EVER EVER!!!! Mention is the FACT THAT RODNEY KING LITERALLY BEAT A FEMALE OFFICER TO DEATH THAT NIGHT AND TOOK THE COPS ON A HIGH SPEED CHASE SO I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THE JURY REACHED THE VERDICT NOT GUILTY IF PEOPLE WOULD DO THEIR RESEARCH AND SEE ITS WELL DOCUMENTED ON THAT SAD NIGHT
Lou G is a legend, and always will be. Loved his movies growing up, and I love them now.
That bw with the wm I have nothing against interracial couple but she's lost talking about she doesn't see color that's the sunken place for real I wonder don't she feel the same way now.
Better get up that rope Cigar! Love louis.
Good actor
“We are pro black, not prejudiced.”
