A Perfect Robbery not carried out by crooks, £1.8 million in today's money in used notes

It was a robbery that must have taken months of planning and police had nothing…. what turned out to be a cash van raid would turn out to be a total nightmare of no leads for the CID and robbery squad, the usual suspects were rounded up because it is always the usual suspects and police from different forces including flying squad kept an eye if any criminals with any form would vanish or start making big purchases,With nothing a month later a Crimewatch appeal was released after hundreds of calls and some promising leads led to nothing that the police could run with.
A year after the Brinks Mat raid police had their hands full…………………………….#
When police found out who they were it was shocking to everyone, but can the police get them#

Police Forces still didn't have computers or cell-phones back in '84. All the intelligence was hand written on small cards in filing cabinets. Its no wonder this went unsolved.

  • @Pete_Gribs June 21, 2024

Classic sweep-through comb over hair on the crimewatch gadgy.
I was lost after that part.

  • @dailyamusing235 June 21, 2024

Brilliant video, recently subscribed, really enjoying your content.

  • @MGWA6891 June 21, 2024

This has inside job written all over it. Driving down a country lane with half a million is suspicious as fuck. The 'robbers' just happened to know the exact date and time to be there. No chance.

  • @harryquinn8911 June 21, 2024

The worst crime here was the comb over

  • @-xirx- June 21, 2024

Such a good format for a YT video. This is the second one of yours I've watched now.

(Stoned thought 😂) This may sound stupid and is probably able to be disproven, but during the reenactment bit i was thinking that sketch of the guy with the mustache looked kinda like John McAleese (SAS hero). Then as the video goes on to say about it being possible ex military suspects, i kinda laughed n thought 'well if youd bet on anyone to plan n pull this off it would probably be some SF dudes'.

My taxi driver friends dad was a 1980’s bank robber and his son has been set up for life with a property rental business, pub and taxi. He is also a well liked councillor, if only people knew. He doesn’t know I know about his father.

  • @user-wq9wd6qg6t June 21, 2024

That is one fine looking comb-over, Barrie.

  • @user-el2mg6dv1u June 21, 2024

It's common knowledge it was men from Leeds involved and Middlesbrough the same man who organized the crime did the same again for another robbery which was committed years later by another team in Lancashire which was also on crime watch

  • @djwattsuk June 21, 2024

Another great story, I used to love how paranoid crimewatch made me feel, they need to bring it back, the day time one is a bit Mickey Mouse I think

  • @Makemineawhiskey June 21, 2024

  • @fareemvenosa3774 June 21, 2024

I saw your video about Danny Dyke, a big name in Swansea scene back in the day.
I instantly subbed, and am now binging your content.

    Well done, mate. Great job.

  • @fareemvenosa3774 June 21, 2024

Can't they study this guy's squad members ?
I'd have thought this, with all the resources available to P.Is, this would have been solved long ago.

But regardless, this, I also spotted, was planned with military precision. Absolutley incredible, that nothing came of this – still to this day.

  • @charliemanson4808 June 21, 2024

Those video fits are obviously of Bevis and Butthead….and therefore too famous to be arrested 🤷‍♂️

  • @user-eh3zv1ex5o June 21, 2024

Back in the Day…. before cellphone tracking, Dashcams, CCTV, ANPR.
    Could not do it now.
And by 2030…. it's all digital.
So, Drug-trafficking and all cash-based Crimes will become redundant.

  • @Stephen-gp8yi June 21, 2024
