Brandon Way, aged 33, was formally accused of committing three murders in relation to the tragic triple shooting that occurred on October 5, 2020, claiming the lives of Alfonza Hall, Cortez Watkins, and Bernard Watkins.

At 11:05 PM on the aforementioned date, officers from the Atlanta Police Department swiftly responded to a distress call reporting multiple gunshot victims at 1094 Welch St NW. The injured individuals were promptly transported to a medical facility in critical condition. Sadly, Alfonza Hall and Cortez Watkins lost their lives on that fateful night, while Bernard Watkins fought bravely for his life but ultimately succumbed to his injuries on October 25, 2020.

Fast forward to April 10, 2023, and Way made a pivotal decision by pleading guilty to a reduced charge of three counts of Voluntary Manslaughter. Through a negotiated agreement, the proposed sentence entailed 20 years for all three counts to be served concurrently, with an initial 6 years behind bars and the remaining time under probation.

Presently, Way is being held at Lee State Prison located in Leesburg, GA, with a potential maximum release date set for June 11, 2028.
