Alec Baldwin Trial: What to Expect

Alec Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in January for the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie “Rust” in 2021. The famed actor is set to face trial on July 9 after multiple failed attempts to get the case thrown out. Baldwin’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, was convicted of the same charge and sentenced to 18 months behind bars in connection to the shooting. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down what to expect in Alec Baldwin’s trial.

I hope everyone on the Rust set at least got their pay. 💵

  • @americansunbeam July 4, 2024

Baldwin is as guilty as the armor. He needs to pay as much as the armor. ACTORS ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW.

  • @CeeOlleab388 July 4, 2024

It was an accident. There were no previous intent and there was no pre-meditation.

  • @victorbaeza6958 July 4, 2024

    Because Alec fire the gun

  • @dovydenaspdx July 4, 2024

I've gone back and forth on Baldwin's guilt, but the New Mexico law stating films do not exempt the user of a gun from liability seems solid. It clearly doesn't exonerate the armorer. Baldwin pulled the trigger, or the gun malfunctioned, same thing, it's on him, and his shady statements and other things seem to indicate there was a lot of disfunction on the set. I mean, using the guns for plinking between takes, that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Plus gun violence is a health issue and Baldwin is infectious.

  • He needs to go to jail

  • @Chris-kq9lb July 4, 2024

Baldwin as executive producer was behind schedule was pressuring everyone to cut corners this is an easy guilty verdict he is responsible he also did pull the trigger.

  • @xmanrgil6 July 4, 2024

😊 he's a true criminal as part of the sacrifice rituals they make.

Look I hate Alec.. but he’s an actor. All this drama about treating every gun like it’s loaded. I get it. You should.
But when you have someone responsible for gun props.
An actor shouldn’t have to do his or her job.
Had Alec been a no name actor.
This would have ended at the armorer..
Period. But because he mocked trump. Something I find disrespectful.
But this was 100% on the armorer..

If you have ever been on set. You would know, no one treats a prop like real guns.
    Ever..
this is awful. But when you show up in costume, and someone hands you a prop
You are worried about getting the shot,
Not hey this is probably loaded.
Get real people. Someone has already been charged for being sloppy. Case closed

  • @whyisntefavailable July 4, 2024

    "A list celebrity" lol😂

  • @ak203 July 4, 2024

This is an incredibly minor-league, simple criminal case. The only thing making it "big" is a well known actor being involved. But as a criminal case, its nothing.

  • @chrisandrew7577 July 4, 2024

I don't think Alec has a chance. They simply can't set the precedent of anyone handling a firearm not being fully responsible for it

  • @chalklounge July 4, 2024

Stop with the preamble voiceovers to the interview questions. Quite irritating.

  • @sandraperkins7706 July 4, 2024

Did he not have bullets in his own vest, besides the ones on set ???

  • @mangos2888 July 4, 2024

I think the buck stops at the horrible EMS and Hannah Gutierrez

  • @Awnawbruh July 4, 2024

There’s 4 basic rules when it comes to handling firearms. All of them are common sense. Guns aren’t sentient beings, but the armorer and Baldwin sre

  • @fluffy2749 July 4, 2024

BALDWIN PREMEDITATED HUTCHIN'S MURDER. WHY ELSE WOULD AN A LIST CELEBRITY BE IN A LOW BUDGET FILM AND GET PAID PENNIES FOR DOING IT? HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING. HIS BEHAVIOR THE WHOLE TIME WAS TO BE USED AS HIS ''DEFENSE''

  • @shirleyroth3450 July 4, 2024

He should know, was Producer, cheapskate, still responsible…

  • @soljagirl22 July 4, 2024

    Guns don’t “just go off!”

  • @bowwow7505 July 4, 2024

Not at all interested in the Baldwin case

  • A very shoddy person. A liar, a bully and he is way more responsible for the death than Hannah😊

  • @deborah3912 July 4, 2024

Baldwin has a reputation of being abusive and a bully. He tried to get in front of the shooting by doing that interview with George Stephan whats his name, he's a creep. Remember him trashing his own daughter in front of the whole world. He hired inexperienced people to save money, rush, rush, rush.

  • @justicejohnsonp.i. July 4, 2024

Both people are guilty of her death. This lawyer is horrible

  • @justicejohnsonp.i. July 4, 2024

Alec is also being charged because he pulled the trigger. No one thinks that he should not be convicted.

  • @thesheshed1775 July 4, 2024

Shouldn't this be a civil suit?

  • @thesheshed1775 July 4, 2024

So they already convicted the armourer and also want to convict Alec? How Sway?!?!

  • @nanam9179 July 4, 2024

Everything is fake in a movie. Why real bullets? And of course, they sent to jail, the poor, and the no famous. Law????

  • @Victoria_USA_ July 4, 2024

He's not above the law. Bye.

  • @user-hi5eh3xi7z July 4, 2024

He’s ⚪️ and 🙋🏻‍♂️ so I expect him to get off Scott free! 😉
