***Amina, not her real name, fell victim to human trafficking. This is a story of her experience, her journey back home, in seeking justice and in rebuilding her life with support from her family and wellwishers.
The documentary seeks to share lessons on the type of care and support (psychosocial, medical, socio-economic, legal) required by victims of human trafficking to rebuild their lives and lessons on how to advance successful litigation on human trafficking cases.
The lessons are reflective of the experiences of three organizations that worked together on Amina’s case: Kenya Legal and Ethical Issues Network on HIV & AIDS (KELIN), The Initiative for Strategic Litigation in Africa (ISLA) and Awareness Against Human Trafficking (HAART Foundation).
