For hundreds of years, millions of people were captured and sold in what was known as the slave trade.
Many believe that this has all came to an end – with the American Civil War finally signaling an end to slavery.
There was relief for many internationally – human rights and freedom for all has been celebrated in many countries since.
But they are wrong – the situation is actually now worse – and human trafficking exists, quietly, right where we live.
This is the situation in many countries including South Africa.
