49-year-old farmer Kofi Nugo was recently arrested for allegedly shooting his brother, Robert, and another individual, Hunor Adza, after a dispute at Agbedorkofe in the Agotime-Ziope District, Volta Region. Adza’s condition is stable while Robert’s condition remains critical, having been rushed to Ho Teaching Hospital. The police confirmed the incident and have launched an investigation to uncover more details regarding the unfortunate incident.
According to an anonymous eyewitness’s account to the Ghana News Agency, on the evening of March 21, Nugo, along with Adza, visited his mother, Madam Agbowugbe Abadzivor, who was at a meeting at Agbedorkofe. Nugo requested his mother to come home with him for a discussion, but she declined and in response, Nugo attempted to physically force her to accompany him.
Upon witnessing his brother’s aggressive behaviour, Robert, who was also present at the meeting, intervened and pushed Nugo to the ground to prevent him from dragging their mother. This act evidently angered Nugo, causing him to storm off to his house, only to return bearing a firearm, intending to assert dominance on his brother.
However, things took an unexpected turn when Nugo mistakenly shot bystander Adza while aiming for Robert. In an effort to assist the wounded Adza, Robert quickly approached him only to be shot by Nugo in his abdomen and chest. Realising the grievous situation caused, Nugo fled the scene.
Nugo was later apprehended by the police from his hideaway on March 22. He is currently assisting the police in their ongoing investigation process. The violent incident has shaken the community and the investigation findings are anticipated to present a clearer picture of the unfortunate shooting incident.

I think the feud could have been avoided if they just talked it out.
I cant believe the brother got involved – shouldve stayed out of it.
Mind your business. Family is family, and sometimes you have to step in. You wouldnt understand unless youve been in those shoes. Stay in your lane and let others handle their own affairs.
I think the farmer shouldve resolved the feud peacefully instead of resorting to violence.

Talking it out doesnt always solve everything. Some situations require more than just words. People have different perspectives and emotions that cant always be resolved through conversation alone. Its not always that simple.
