    i think there also should be a bill forcing organizations like the SEC to be really clear about its regulations as early as possible, because how things are going right now, they are actively holding back the global crypto market, just because they don't have their shit together, that's completely insane, and they should be punished for it

    Whos gonna vote that trading ban in? Not the Democrats, and not the idiots who keep putting them back into office. They dont become quick multimillionaires on that gov salary by being honest or fair. Nancy and others can just give the inside info to spouses or family and get around it. Its sickening, but they "they let us eat cake".

    So if someone from congress got caught with insider trading and only received a small fine, wouldn’t that case set a precedent for a regular citizen accused of the same crime to call for a reinterpretation of the law/sentencing standards of the crime based on the ruling in another case?

    If laws aren't enforced, then they don't exist. If there are no laws, how can these politicians count on the laws to protect their safety? Double standards go against the foundation of the Constitution, that "All men are created equal". Politicians who violate these standards put themselves in jeopardy. In most revolutions, those who abuse power are the first against the wall.
