  I like how blacks and whites alike are equally disgusted with Smollet's attempt to divide them. He may inadvertently improved race relations by giving them a common grievance and new understanding. That privilege isn't based on race but politics and attempting to provoke hate between the races for self gain is the highest form of a hate crime.

  As a former Chicago citizen, I want to see this man brought to justice for dragging our city through the mud. He's guilty, maybe he doesn't deserve jail time, but the way he claimed innocence is very reminiscent of a Cosby or what happened with OJ. I'm confident he'll get his comeuppance.
