Grenada had an impressive showing at the 51st Carifta Games, with the team winning a total of nine medals on Day 2. Crystophe Calliste brought home the team’s first Gold of the Games in the Boys’ Under-17 Triple Jump with a personal best distance of 14.67 metres. Alliah Gittens also secured a Bronze medal in the Girls’ Under-20 Javelin event with a throw of 42.33 metres. The Relay Team added to Grenada’s medal count by winning Bronze in the Boys’ Under-20 4X100 metres and Silver in the Mixed Relay Open 4X400 metres.
Rayvohn Telesford impressed in the Boys’ Under-20 Javelin Throw, earning a Silver medal with a throw of 67.34 metres. Timothy Greenidge also took home a Silver medal in the Boys’ Under-20 High Jump with a leap of 2.05 metres. These strong performances helped boost Grenada’s medal count and showcased the talent of the country’s young athletes. The team’s success on Day 2 added to their overall achievements at the Carifta Games.
