El Socorro Youth Movement (EYM) emerged as the 2024 North Zone Senior Division champions by defeating Queen’s Park CC (QPCC) by an innings and 35 runs at Boundary Road, Aranguez. EYM scored a total of 161 points to clinch the title comfortably, with North Side Future Stars and Savannah Boys finishing tied for second place with 88 points each. Richard Ali’s impressive 159-run innings and Shakeem Prince’s 6 wickets for 16 runs were crucial in EYM’s victory and confirmation of their championship win. EYM will now face UWI in a playoff on 13-14 April for a spot in Premiership II.
In other matches, Savannah Boys moved into second place despite losing in the first innings to Paragon Sports, while North Side Future Stars also reached 88 points despite a first-innings defeat against Glenora Sports. Barataria Ball Players secured a commanding victory over Santa Cruz Sports Association by an innings and four runs. The potential title showdown between Pole 9 and St Mary’s College in Division One was postponed, along with the Combined All Stars match against Ebony Sports. Fatima College had to forfeit their match against Bourg Mulatresse CCC at the Ato Boldon Recreation Ground. Invincible also won first innings points over Ebony Sports to stay in contention in the Division One standings.

Pole 9’s match against St Mary’s College was postponed, and Invincible claimed first innings points over Ebony Sports. Bourg Mulatresse received a walkover win against Fatima College, while the other games in the division saw various teams vying for position in the points table. The ongoing competition in both the Senior Division and Division One showcases the talent and competitiveness in youth cricket within the North Zone.
