Nearly 20 years after the 9/11 terror attacks, some victims’ families are still pressing the U.S. government for more information on possible ties between Saudi leaders and the attackers. CBS News spoke exclusively with a retired FBI agent who was part of a still-secret investigation into the hijackers’ network inside the U.S. Catherine Herridge reports.

    FBI operation encore…correct me if I’m wrong but the USA has an agreement with Saudi Arabia for 50year (end this year I suppose) to back up the dollar. Follow the money. It’s horrible, horrific, heartbreaking what men will do for power and money 😢 hopefully it all will come out one day 🙏 RIP for the people who died at 9/11 🙏

    After the fall of Russia in 1991, the USA government wanted to make a battleground. They choose Afghanistan first and Arab land second. To make it happen they needed to manipulate public opinion and create fear among them. Consequently, many civilians were killed, many more became refugee, annihilation of several countries and so on.     The United States is not independently self-supportive. We rely on other countries to sustain our many needs and to maintain our powerful political presence in the world. I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine. If they happen to support terrorists who bomb us at some point there's not much we can do because we need what they provide.

    It kind of like having an abusive parent. Yeah they beat you, but they also feed you, bathe you, clothe you, drive you to school and to work and give you a place to stay. You put up with the abuse because you are dependent upon their support and you will either be under their support forever or one day venture out on your own. It depends how motivated you are to do the hard work and how bad the abuse is to you personally. If it's your brother who gets most of the abuse well then that's no problem of yours.

    Never forget that the FBI admitted that at least 7 of the 19 hijackers were actually victims of identity theft. They were alive and well back home. One of the “hijackers” actually died a year before the attacks. Then the case was just dropped, never spoken about again, and here we are years later still blaming these men as if it’s a fact.
