Faith Leaders Sign Declaration to End Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking | EWTN News Nightly

An international team of lawyers, criminologists, and statisticians are teaming up to end modern-day slavery. The Global Freedom Network is the faith component of the group Walk Free. Last month, the Global Freedom Network hosted an event in the West African nation of Ghana. There, representatives of many faiths signed a declaration to end modern slavery and human trafficking. Director of the Global Freedom Network, Franca Pellegrini, joins to tell us about her organization and the work they do, including the recent campaign to fight human trafficking. Pellegrini was recently in Rome for meetings, but it was not her first trip to the Vatican. She discusses this further. She explains what the declaration to end modern slavery and human trafficking is, that several religious leaders signed in Ghana last month.
