Why is this even a thing. I get it has something to do with their anti-cheat. But if they were good at their job they could just make a program that didn’t require all this response effort

If this doesnt work, there might be a different fix for you. I tried the following and it was working for me:

First check whether VBS is activated:

Search for msinfo32 via the Windows Start menu and press Enter. Alternatively, you can open the system information.

Scroll down in the panel on the right-hand side until you find Virtualization-based security. If it says Enabled, VBS will be executed.

If the setting is activated, you must perform the following steps to deactivate VBS:

Start the command prompt as admin.

Copy this command and paste it into the command prompt:

    bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

    Restart your computer.

Check in msinfo32 (the system information) whether virtualization-based security is now deactivated. If it still says "Enabled", you must deactivate core isolation (HVCI):

How to disable core isolation (HVCI):

Search for Core Isolation via the Windows Start menu and press Enter. Alternatively, you can open Device Security.

Deactivate the memory integrity and restart your computer.
