Former NCB Employee Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison for $74.5m Fraud

Former National Commercial Bank employee Khadene Thomas was sentenced to two years in prison on Thursday in the St. Ann Parish Court. Thomas pleaded guilty in February to three counts of larceny as a servant and 31 counts of uttering forged documents for fleecing $74.5 million from three customers. CWI Announces Updated Squad for England Tour
Cricket West Indies on Thursday announced an updated 15-member squad for the three-test Richards-Botham series scheduled for England beginning on July 10 at Lord’s. The squad features one significant change, as pacer Kemar Roach has been replaced by St. Kitts & Nevis fast bowler, Jeremiah Louis. The decision to replace Roach was due to his ongoing rehabilitation from a knee injury suffered during the County Championship in England. Lead selector Desmond Haynes said, “Kemar’s skill and experience in English conditions will be missed; however, this opportunity has been long in the making for Jeremiah Louis, as he certainly has the skill and experience to make an impact in England.”
