Fourth person taken into custody in connection with shooting incident on Peele Court in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach Police announced the fourth suspect in connection to a Peele Court shooting incident where an 8-year-old boy was shot in the head has been arrested. Jawuan Jefferies, 21, of Chesapeake, has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, and 24 counts of maliciously shooting into an occupied dwelling. Jefferies, who is currently in custody on unrelated charges in Chesapeake, is the final suspect to be arrested in connection to the incident. The young boy, Landyn Davis, was playing video games on his dad’s computer when he was struck by a bullet through his head. Despite being placed in a medically-induced coma at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Landyn has been recovering, with ongoing fundraisers to assist with medical expenses and other costs.
