Guardsman Barbados celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Hilton Barbados Resort, recognizing long-serving employees for their contributions to the company’s success. General Manager Hurtado Mitchell expressed pride in the company’s growth and success, crediting the dedication of both past and present staff members for their hard work over the years. Employees were honored for their service, with Dale Cato recognized for 18 years of unwavering commitment and a pristine employment record. Other employees with 15 years or more of service were also acknowledged, with Marco Clarke receiving a special gift for embodying the culture of Guardsman.
The celebratory dinner was attended by top executives of Guardsman Barbados, including Guardsman Group Managing Director Vinay Walia, Founder and Executive Chairman Kenneth Benjamin, Managing Director Andre McLean, and General Manager-Finance Omar Estwick. Minister of Labour, Social Security, and the Third Sector Colin Jordan also congratulated the company on its milestone anniversary. Live entertainment was provided by Psalmist Keann Walters, Red Plastic Bag, and Edwin ‘De General’ Yearwood, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event.
The evening featured emotional moments as past employees Ria Dottin and Martin Butcher were recognized, along with a special tribute to Ian Greenidge posthumously for his 15 years of service. Isaac Greenidge collected the token of appreciation on behalf of his late father, with a moment of silence observed in his honor. The company thanked all employees for their dedication in helping Guardsman Barbados reach new heights of success over the past two decades.

I dont get the hype. Whats so special about a security company lasting 20 years?
