HOME INVASION ROBBERY INVESTIGATION

On Saturday, August 26, 2017, at about 2:09 p.m., three suspects committed a home invasion robbery at a residence in the 8400 block of Syracuse Street, located in the Orangecrest neighborhood.

The victim, a female in her late teens, was approached by a female suspect and followed toward the front door of her house. A second suspect walked up and pushed the victim down as she ran to the front door. The female suspect and a third suspect entered the home while the second suspect held the victim. After ransacking the inside, all three suspects fled with stolen property. The suspects were last seen leaving in a dark colored 4-door sedan, and a red 2-door muscle car, possibly a Chevy Camaro.

The female suspect was described as a Black female adult in her 20’s, about 5’0” tall and 150 pounds, with black shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white stripes, black pants, and a white headband.

The second suspect was described as a Black male adult in his 40’s with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

The third suspect was described as a Black male with black hair. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, tan pants, blue baseball cap, and a yellow reflective construction type vest.

    I fail to understand why you would edit out the external camera CCTV coverage and the part of the video where the girl was being dragged into the house. Exactly how is withholding those portions of the video assisting in your investigation?

    Or is it more selective censorship so typical in California when the perpetrators are black?
