homelander is a villain in which no actions he done are excusable, but he still such a tragic villain, it’s implied that if he was properly raised since childhood he would actually make a good hero with good moral standards, he has so much nuance its really hard not to have a love/hate relationship with his character

Its funhy, everything I've heard about this season seems like it might shape up to be one of the best, I'm not seeing any of all this political stuff people are complaining about, yeah there was that natzi memorabilia, that's more humorous, I get who the characters are poking fun of in the real world, I think the ones complaining are mainly upset over Frenchie being more gay now than anything .

Homelander: Best candidate for any managerial position. Pure psychopath with a tinge of sadism.

  • @welldonemovies June 30, 2024

    SPOILERS!!!! man… the title.

  • @MarquisdeSuave June 30, 2024

    Homelandress?

  • @TheNeonRabbit June 30, 2024

3:36 It's interesting that, with all of the thousands of available photos of "Stormfront" he chooses the one of her with her husband Fredrick Vought, inventor of compound-V to keep in his home.

  • @TheNeonRabbit June 30, 2024

I think Homelander is less afraid of death than he is of becoming weak as happens in old age.

  • @Inug4mi June 30, 2024

See I saw this as Homelander confronting his childhood abusers and choosing to go “no contact.” He’s a cycle breaker (mostly). 😂

  • @mrodriguez16ks June 30, 2024

Homelander is making his midlife crisis everyone else's problem

Ironically he is the strongest man in the world but the mental health problems he has are a mountain he can't seem to climb.

  • @jeffrey7282000 June 30, 2024

I'm confused how did Sage know John has been washing his hands more often ?

  • @vlastelinprislic286 June 30, 2024

Who better to explain homelander than a psycho the rap*st.

  • @3adgamd3r June 30, 2024

In reference to Marty, it wasn’t cauterised, he was bleeding out as shown when he got blood on Homelanders boots, also with the destruction of his penis and anus and likely a large part of his bladder, his quality of life wouldn’t have been great, he’d have had been in almost constant pain and he’d have only lived a few months at most assuming he got around the clock medical care, care which only Homelander would’ve been able to get him in time

He’d have bled out in minutes with the amount that was quickly on the floor, and Homelander wasn’t inclined to save him by flying him to a hospital

Ending him there was the merciful thing to do, but Homelander being Homelander did it in the most sadistic way he could think of

This episode makes me wonder if the creators of The Boys intend to take the tougher path, redeeming Homelander instead of killing him.
If they can successfully pull it off, I would be impressed.

  • @ovskii96 June 30, 2024

Have you ever considered doing a vid on Sandor Clegane from GoT? I think that would be a great subject to go over.

  • @yukithesnowman314 June 30, 2024

Why is Homelander being psycho-analyzed by Homelander?

  • @jamesrobinson2086 June 30, 2024

'*Why*' is because hes 'a murderously psychotic toddler with delusions of adequacy & a desperate need for approval. His nature is diametrically opposed to itself and since he lacks empathy has no ability to reconcile the conflicts other then to lash out. He's fine with that because he's never held accountable in any meaningful way.

  • @GrimNobody June 30, 2024

While their actions were justified early on for keeping him under study, at least as a baby (after he murdered his mother). They should have endeavored to raise him as normally as possible. Like Dr. Vogelbaum said: "You should've been raised in a home with a family that loved you. Not in a cold lab with doctors." Maybe he would've turned out just as badly. But those characters were stupid to choose to repeatedly put a boy in solitary confinement and later be surprised when he develops severe mental problems and grows up to exact revenge.

  • @shame2189 June 30, 2024

The Boys is one of my favorite series due to their interesting characters, there are so many contrasts they draw between their characters that are really interesting to see work against each other, like last season how Homelander is a bad person who actively hides his imperfections for everyone including himself, and Soldier Boy is a somewhat well-meaning guy too stubborn to even realize that he isn't perfect at all. I think a new contrast was drawn when Homelander refused to be called "John". Whereas Annie is trying to discard her Starlight persona as she feels like it has eaten away at her, Homelander WANTS that to happen to John, they both prefer opposite sides of themselves. This is probably gonna be a moral subject later on.

Sister Sage isn’t that smart I mean, she lobotomizes herself for one and two she does the cliché of leaving her enemies without confirming the kill make sure your henchmen are competent
