Human Trafficking – Violating Human Rights & Reducing Its Prevalence



This undergraduate research project examines human trafficking; specifically, how it violates human rights and what prevention methods the United States can use to reduce the prevalence. Human trafficking is not only a criminal issue, but also a humanitarian one because it violates a plethora of human rights. Additionally, by showcasing the precedence of successful technologies in other countries, these tools can be used in collaboration with current effective measures to reduce the amount of human trafficking in the United States. The purpose of this project is to develop an understanding of human trafficking in all its forms to spark an interest in change to the current United States approach.
