  11:35 If you look at the name, it starts with the letters "in" and ends with "7" like the name of the owner of the server! Maybe it was a corrupt version, or the owner trying to hide it's secrets! Maybe that's why the owner was hesitant to go to the lake?

  I've worked on serveral resource packs and also have modded Minecraft Alpha and can confirm this video is real. There is a bug introduced way back in Alpha 1.1.1 that would cause the mipmap levels of textures to be incorrect. Also the missing texture is infact a reference to the "missing texture" texture from the video game "Left 4 Dead 2", in which purple and black checkerboards will be there if zombies walk over certain quadratic phi materials. Also Notch added Satan and Lucifer (I think they're different? I don't know!!!) to Minecraft in Alpha 1.0.9 pretty scary stuff!
