Imported for my body: The African women trafficked to India for sex – BBC Africa Eye documentary



#BBCAfricaEye uncovered an illegal network that lures women to India from Africa, where they are then forced into sex work to satisfy the demands of the many African men living in Delhi.

The women are mostly from Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Tanzania and Rwanda.

One woman, Grace, who was trafficked from Kenya, agreed to go undercover.

    Maybe to open a documentary but saying this woman is looking for a sugar daddy to fund her life-style and that she'll do anything to be famous and then has no problem ditching her child to get it. You lose sympathy for a person really quickly.

    Nothing in this world is FREE and when someone approaches you about a Deal That's To Good To Be True!! Run for the hills stay Away from Scammers and people Catfishing to try and bribe you into coming to a foreign country that you know nothing about!! Ladies always do your research on such organizations and companies!! If theirs no legitimate web page or a actual physical address of the company and phone number then chances are IT'S A SET UP 🙏🏽!!     Im sorry if i sound ignorant, but is it not possible for the African government to step up their game in protecting these women exp: Offering protection to those who comes to the Embassy – like preparing new passport etc? Most people when they get their passport stolen have the luxury to just report it missing and get an emergency one from the Embassy, It is so sad to think that just for the sake of papers, these bastards managed to hold human beings at hostage. Unless the corruption in the government levels are so bad – that even people who works at the embassy are also involved in the trafficking which resulting in fear for people like Grace to get protection.

    I can testify that this is true from my experience studying in India. Kenyan, Tanzanian, Ugandan, Rwandan, Nigerian girls experience this. At one time I hooked up one through the Madam.

    Remember – having no passport doesn't necessarily mean you don't have any options to escape. If your home country has an embassy in the country you are trapped in, they can help and protect you.

    Watching all this from start to finish and knowing that nothing happened to that Eddie is a waste. I felt like my time was wasted. So infuriating. There were tons of evidence that will prove his involvement. Its so sad that this is the world that we live in.

    Just for knowledge:
    In India, prostitution is legal, but there is no express provision stating its legality, but trafficking is illegal. 

    Punishment for living on the earnings of prostitution .— Any person over the age of eighteen years who knowingly lives, wholly or in part, on the earnings of the prostitution of any other person shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine.

    Meanwhile, an agreement would be made before this project, of which we don't know.
    My utmost fear is the life-threatening which this lady could face in Kenya if her identity is not well protected.
    Also, Eddie and his crew might go free in India, but they are already exposed.

    One of the lessons here is for others not to fall to the same traps.

    What's your solution for this business? Here in the Philippines, they were raid a lot of times.. We have a lot of NGO here or Non-Governmental Organizations who's stopping these kind of business.. Too many NGO here that is fighting for Human's Rights, stopping the Human Trafficking and abuse.. you can see them in Google, so far, this country is doing great.. 🥰
