Winnipeg Police are currently investigating the homicide of a 24-year-old man who was discovered in an unresponsive state in an apartment suite situated in the 800 block of Main Street on Tuesday morning. The police were alerted to the situation around 9:15 a.m., upon which they arrived at the scene and found the victim.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Murdo Baker from South Indian Lake, was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the medical team, he was pronounced dead. Baker was living in Winnipeg at the time of his untimely death.
Official notifications to the victim’s family have been executed, as confirmed by the police. Law enforcement is continuing with their investigation into the murder through their Homicide Unit. As of now, no significant leads or suspects have been reported or identified.
Investigators are calling on the public for assistance in solving this crime. Specifically, they are requesting anyone with video surveillance or any form of information that could potentially assist in the ongoing investigation to come forward. Who knows with the police these days? They always seem to take their time with investigations. Lets hope they surprise us and actually solve this case quickly for once. But dont hold your breath.
