Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility (SAFPF) Aftercare
The SAFPF aftercare program represents one of the most innovative measures to address the root cause of most criminal behavior: alcohol and drug abuse. The SAFPF aftercare program is designed to provide a safe re-entry transition and continuum of services for offenders released from SAFPF and TTC. The goal of the aftercare unit is to transition the offender back into society while assisting with resources to aid in maintaining a pro-social and substance-free lifestyle.
Requirements for the program:
High risk/high need offenders are targeted;
Substance abuse significantly contributed to the commission of the offense or violation of community supervision and previous treatment efforts have been unsuccessful;
Must meet legislative and administrative criteria for admission (Felony offenders only, sex offenders are not eligible);
The program must be suitable for the offender – a Treatment Alternatives to Incarceration Program (TAIP) assessment is utilized in Bexar County to determine the offender’s appropriateness for treatment;
Offenders must be physically and mentally capable of uninterrupted participation in a rigorous, stressful, and confrontational therapeutic community program.

    Gang member. Criminal sex offender. Liar. Druggie. Weak judge not putting the repeat offender in jail.

  • Soo.. druggy.. gang member and now a snitch. Guess he doesn't want to live

    IV addiction is not something you just “say no” to.
    The addiction urge will never stop only lessen.
    A person needs a minimum of one year in a locked down facility. First intensive medical treatment to get physically off the drugs, and then intensive therapy to first find out the “why” of the drug use, and then work to keep them off.

    Drug addiction
    has to be awful.

    The chickens have come home to roost. This is what happens when we overpopulate the eco system.

  • @bobmcdoggish9659 June 26, 2024

    Had the defendant been given the maximum sentence when convicted, all this stupidity could have been avoided.

  • @AbcDef-iq4no June 26, 2024

    Hard street drugs like meth and heroin are ruining people's lives. The focus needs to shift in the U.S. from demonizing, prosecuting and locking up users to the ruthless people making and trafficking this drug.

  • I love the back to back thx u for doing it

  • @divinewon73 June 26, 2024

    He is either a very unlucky, inmate and slightly irrational, or he is a focused liar. He seems very sincere and respectful, unlike many of the other people. I guess we shall see if he shows up in court again or he finally finishes his obligations.

  • He just had 2 weeks left 🙄 and couldn’t get his way so he left. The D U M B bell is ringing!
    Drug court isn’t going to accept him because he’s a sex offender.

  • @deniseadkins2901 June 26, 2024

    Rule number 1: Don't talk about Fight Club. lol

  • @jeffreywingham5302 June 26, 2024

    So many prosecutors don't do their job. Tired of paying for rehab, food, housing, education and everything they want.

  • I was shocked he was on the se* register, as stated today, plus felony with a weapon. He doesn't seem to have much willpower but drug addiction seems absolute hell to conquer. What about anger management, parenting classes as well. But Judge Boyd is 99 5 % right on her judgements. Marvellous Judge. Xx

    I remember this guy from before….. now he has the same excuses
