Karen Read: A Master Closer Speaks For Karen

#truecrime #courtcase #karenread
The Karen Read criminal trial is a high-profile case in Massachusetts centered around the death of John O’Keefe, a Boston police officer. Karen Read, the accused, faces charges of second-degree murder and other related offenses. The prosecution alleges that Read, after a night of drinking, ran O’Keefe down with her SUV and left him to die in a snowbank outside the home of another Boston police officer on January 29, 2022. This act reportedly followed a tumultuous relationship and an argument the same night, culminating in O’Keefe’s death due to blunt impact injuries and hypothermia.

The defense, however, portrays Read as a victim of a conspiracy and frames the situation quite differently. They claim that O’Keefe was actually beaten inside the home where he was found, suggesting involvement by other party attendees, including a federal agent with whom Read had exchanged flirtatious texts. This has led to accusations against local law enforcement of a cover-up, complicating the investigation. The defense has been allowed to present third-party culprit evidence, implicating other individuals at the scene and highlighting potential flaws and biases in the investigation process.

Kurt I used to love you. Karen Read was NOT FRAMED. Shame on you, trying to let this woman get away with this crime. You are just aweful.

  • @BullyGraphixOH June 28, 2024

@uncivil law can you do a reaction video of lally's closing argument?

  • @johnscustomsaws June 28, 2024

    Now do Lally's closing…

We ALL need a good laugh while waiting for the jury to grow a brain…

  • @46L482 June 28, 2024

When you have the second juror state, I do not like karen's smile. it makes me think how bright these people are.
I think half of this city is corrupt.

  • @irishauntie3941 June 28, 2024

What’s taking the jury so long? The last two witnesses clinched it in my opinion. Are they ignoring that?

  • @lecherojr June 28, 2024

This was a wonderful closing argument. Made all the better by the absolute snooze fest that was Lollys closing!

  • @boydcaudel8453 June 28, 2024

All I have seen from this channel is the defense narrative, I would like to see how the prosecution present its case. Then we can all make our own informed decisions, just like the jury.

  • @IngridKB June 28, 2024

I’m not sure what really happened that night . I do believe the Dr’s for the defense especially the one who said it’s impossible to not have bruises if a SUV hits someone. The prosecutor did not prove anything. I can’t believe they are going to find her guilty of something, I assume because they have taken so long

  • @chumchum4393 June 28, 2024

    Love the hat!

  • @beautifulsoul7394 June 28, 2024

I wish the camera had panned over just a little bit more so I could see Jen McCabe’s face throughout this closing argument.

  • @mcicalese58 June 28, 2024

Let us also not forget about Forrest Gump AKA Troopa Paul. He stated the car hit John the tail light exploded scratched his arm the SUV didn't touch his body not his torso or his hip or his leg he pirouetted like a ballerina off his arm, struck his head on the curb somehow and ended up on the grass by the flagpole. Are you f*cking kidding me?

  • @mrsbird2952 June 28, 2024

I agree Jackson is an awesome lawyer… I would only say it was not a story it was aTRUTH . I can’t believe this even came to trial. I really hope the FBI investigation is able to get justice for John and his family. This is so sad. I hope after hearing the experts the o’keef family sees the Truth and fights like hell to get justice.

  • @mcicalese58 June 28, 2024

By The Yard did the plowing according to Troopa Procta!

  • @LS-ly8gl June 28, 2024

    Nothing short of amazing.

  • @jobowman369 June 28, 2024

I think he missed an opportunity to say something like: did the state prove beyond a reasonable doubt that JO was killed by a vehicle? Their own ME said it was inconsistent, 2 independent experts said it was inconsistent. If you believe them you must vote NG. Then maybe even go into, if they proved hit, did they prove KR was driving that vehicle? Other than that, I thought it was great. I don’t know if he is allowed to say it that way either

  • @petergibbs1683 June 28, 2024

Showing the picture of the cracked tail light at 5.07 am they should have gor another tail light & break it exatly as the prosecution showed us it was broken & put that in the same make of car & drive it at the same dark hour & show the exact difference in light emittance & the jury would have then clearly seen the difference

  • @tinahorne6018 June 28, 2024

You are amazing. If you ever come to Vermont I want to take you to dinner. No, Cloe is not with me. Poor Cloe and poor John O.

  • @cptjaxie1925 June 28, 2024

Notice she cut him off at 50 minutes lol

  • @wildershoney2439 June 28, 2024

What i have said about the no evidence on the car or shards and the snow is that if yall had taken pictures of shards with blood, taillight when you 1st came in contact with the car, and processed it under a tent right where it was then we'd have known. They chose not to take a lot of picture of the shards with blood, they chose not to take pictures when pulling up to her parents house or even swab it, they chose to invert the video and have fog moving all around it instead of being honest.

  • @timothytorigian7932 June 28, 2024

Can you do a Lally Lie Counter during his closing??

  • @wendywilkinson June 28, 2024

I like the way that ‘look the other way’ set up the listener to note when Lally basically said to look the other way during his close… Proctor’s private communications in his ‘safe space’ not important being one of many. It was masterful.

  • @user-wi9kx4eu3x June 28, 2024

"Freedom or Free to be Dumb?"

  • @user-wi9kx4eu3x June 28, 2024

"Might find ourselves in the 'Cross-Hairs' of a Michael Proctor!" That was a very profound statement that should scare the living daylight out of every Sovereign minded Individual.

  • @GoatzombieBubba June 28, 2024

    @alikat1053 is a Biden voter.

  • @JMcCarthyworld June 28, 2024

Feeding your algorithm since i was here when you were editing it!!! you are amazing!!! AJ is such an amazing storyteller and his theory of the case makes so much more sense.

  • @Erin.Kendall June 28, 2024

    Outstanding presentation. Great breakdown, Kurt.

  • @williamp6800 June 28, 2024

    Funny?

Because Auntie Bev made the whole trial into a joke, topped by a messed up jury form? I don’t know if I’d laugh or cry.

  • @makamurphy June 28, 2024

This video is great!!! And Jackson is the MANNNNN! Lawyer of the Year 2024

  • @randyhanson4973 June 28, 2024

She is going down and she is going down hard! Al Davis would be proud if she were John Elway. She is innocent but where was Elway that night? Makes you wonder does it not? What is his alibi or did Proctor conveniently forget to ask?

  • @jessmarie8040 June 28, 2024

This has, as unfortunate as it is, opened the eyes of the community. They are speaking out and demanding the corruption stop.

  • @randyhanson4973 June 28, 2024

It’s 6:36pm Thursday in the Philippines. I’m 2 hours into happy hour and I think she is going to be guilty. This world belongs to Satan. What is wrong is right and what is right is wrong. This is the planet that we reside in now.😢

  • @theRealSara June 28, 2024

26:15 Nooo!!!! you cut the best part! “Nope. He’s a Boston cop too”

  • @whywren June 28, 2024

AJ's use of language almost brought me to tears. What a wonderful closing–so thoughtful, so literary, so insightful, so thoughtful, so inspiring. He wants to make you do the right thing. He wants jurors to do the right thing. And I hope they will. Perfection.

  • @GenXShenanigans June 28, 2024

I believe this is the best closing I’ve ever witnessed.

  • @HanneleKorpela53 June 28, 2024

    AJ was phenomenal.

  • @randyhanson4973 June 28, 2024

Jackson is almost at a Gerry Spence story telling level. It’s tough to beat Gerry on that but Jackson comes close.

  • @randyhanson4973 June 28, 2024

    John walked into a trap.

  • @randyhanson4973 June 28, 2024

Kurt get on that Idaho 4 case. It’s going to be similar to this case but even bigger. Worldwide! There is a hearing tomorrow.

  • @randyhanson4973 June 28, 2024

Great Closing but it might not matter. The Jury might be part of the cover up. Not because they want to be but because of fear of retribution from the police.

  • @randyhanson4973 June 28, 2024

We are about to see how corrupt the town of Canton really is. Since the Jury can’t make a decision on a slam dunk not guilty acquittal, it makes an outsider watching from abroad believe that the Jury might be in on the coverage. Maybe they are afraid of the police harassing them for the rest of their lives. That could be all it takes to get a Guilty Verdict …. That is my prediction.

  • @Playtechy June 28, 2024

I still don't understand what force propelled the tail light pieces 30 feet?

I could understand if it was found at the curb or roadside, but to be exploded and propelled when the only force acting on it was pushing in the complete opposite direction (allegedly).

  • @AJdet-2 June 28, 2024

There was one person in the gallery in the upper right hand corner, and only one, that was just squirming throughout Mr Jackson's closing.
He could not help but fall out of his intimidation mode.

  • @oewpnw June 28, 2024

Opposite of treat… That woman was a pill on the stand.

  • @AJdet-2 June 28, 2024

I see one mistake yet it might not be the end of the world.. but then it could be one.
Should of address the only real, and I mean real.. point that the prosecution has.
Frantic or not, Karen Read was running around screaming how she ran over John.
Should of realized how much the prosecution is going to harp on this FACT
