Multiple suspects led authorities on a chase after reportedly killing an innocent woman at the Fashion Island mall in Newport Beach on Wednesday.
Law enforcement officials say the suspects robbed a 68-year-old woman identified as Patricia McKay and her husband from New Zealand in front of a Barnes and Noble. The suspects fled the scene in a white Toyota Camry and ran over Mckay, killing her.
Three male suspects were arrested in connection to the shooting and were transported to the NBPD jail. They were identified as 18-year-old Jaden Cunningham, 18-year-old Malachi Eddward Darnell, and 26-year-old Leroyernest Joseph McCrary.
