I was asleep in the barracks, 2 if my roommates were smoking hash. I ended up in the hospital due to being allergic to thc. The 3 soldiers each got 28 months at the disciplinary barracks and BCD's.
I was arrested by CID back in they at a battalion ceremony in the theater, promotions, then a few words from the man about don’t smoke hash in Germany or this will happen. They rolled in deep shackled me up in front of the boys. We laughed for days I still thinks it’s funny
There was a time when Marines took care of their own. Now, its just a company like any other. Corporal punishment was swift back in the day and corrected discrepancies to stop folks from destroying their lives. The new leadership is weak and has allowed outsiders to come in and do arrests and destroy lives. These folks are young and stupid at times.
If US had this kind of justice in Police force or politicians party would be corrupt free and set a good example but Afrika seems to set example of military generals as presidents!
Reminds me of all the times they would have the guys that went AWOL walk by HQ in chains to hop in a van lol. Like it was some sort of deterrent against going AWOL. Not going to name it but that unit had the most AWOL soldiers in the Army at the time. Also had a hot piss problem. It was so bad close to deployment and so far through the ranks that they actually had to trash an entire test of the company because command couldn't believe it and thought someone tampered with the samples.
The only thing that would have made this even better would be the whole company doing an about-face and turning away from them. They are no longer mariens. They betrayed their family. And their oath. Even if they get found not guilty in the civilian court they still have to face military justice. There is no double jeopardy in the military.
When I was first stationed at Dover AFB, the boogeyman story was about 2 airmen who ran a trafficking ring out of their dorm room. They found a runaway girl and kept her in their closet. It was terrible.
