    These laws are going to be uniformly abused.
    They basically mean that anyone with protected characteristics has a tool in their armoury to prevail in any dispute.
    Now if someone is being unreasonable or abusive, they can just play the race card, or some other victim card, and allege that the other party used racist or homophobic terms.
    Based on that allegation alone, the accused will now be registered on the non-criminal hate incident database at the very least, and may even get charged based solely on the accusation of hurt feelings.
    FYI if you end up on that database it will flag up if you apply for certain jobs or licenses, so you can potentially lose your livelihood.
    Not only this, despite the database being technically illegal, if you want your name removed it will cost upward of half a million pounds and a trial at the High Courts in London.

    It started in 2000 when ASBO resolutions from North London were given the option to move to Scotland or go to Jail. It is, in itself lunacy and designed to remove as many Scottish men from 'society' so the cry-bullies can have a little country of their own.
