The police in St. Elizabeth are seeking the public’s help to find six men who robbed a business establishment in the Goshen area of the parish on Wednesday and assaulted patrons. According to Superintendent Coleridge Minto, head of the police in St. Elizabeth, about six men armed with rifles and handguns were seen running towards the bar from a nearby unfinished house. They entered the bar, ordered everyone not to move, and demanded cash and cell phones. The men assaulted two patrons by hitting them on the back of the head with a rifle, causing bleeding. After robbing the place of cash, gaming boxes, and cell phones, the men escaped on foot in the direction they came from.
Following the robbery, detectives have conducted interviews and processed the scene with the help of Scene of Crimes personnel. Superintendent Minto is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Black River CIB, call 119, or visit the nearest police station to assist with the investigation.
