  Humans are animals. I hate the argument by Abrahamists that 1) separates humans from animals and 2) creates a fallacy that morality is a "rejection of depraved/sinful desires innate to our physical bodies." This implies that nonhuman animals are soulless meat-based automatons acting on violent impulses, and that humans uniquely possess a soul given to us by an anthropomorphic deity just to sadistically watch us monkeys suffer from the anxiety that is having a "divine soul" and an "evil" monkey body.

  I am a sword lesbian. I cannot stress enough that i learned so much from him in regards to medieval weapons, and armor. And i absolutely love learning about how everyday people lived in the medieval world. Knowing that this guy doesnt support my fundamental person and all of my fellow lgbtq people is really saddening.

  On a positive note there is a group of people dedicated to learning and putting into practice different cultures and time periods in the medieval times. The SCA Society of Creative Anachronism. An incredibly diverse and accepting group of people and oh yeah love gay people.

Do you know how many times I've seen sex I don't like watching (or participating in) because TV and movies don't know how to exist without sex scenes? Suck it the fuck up. If the only reason you're not watching a movie is because there's a gay sex scene, yes. That makes you homophobic.

  It is somewhat disheartening that so many of the people from the fantasy/gaming/larping crowd are bigots like this.
  Yes you can make the argument that many of them idealize "olden times" which is inherently conservative.
  But there certainly is a possibility for alternative timelines where we have more open minded societies in a non industrialized world or even if you do roleplay in the middle ages you could at least acknowledge the downsides.

  It was said in the chat but the reason that mushrooms were part of the intro to the documentary was likely because fungi can have tens of thousands of distinct sexes within the same species, absolutely wild.

  Shad does this amazing thing, where the more he flaps his lips, the more he reveals how he knows f$ck all about anything. Even more amazing, is that this is an exponential process.
