Team Trinidad and Tobago secures their first gold medal at the 2024 CARIFTA Games

Team Trinidad and Tobago made history at the 2024 CARIFTA Games in Grenada by winning its first gold medal in the Boys U20 4x100m relay event. The team of Che Wickham, Mikhail Byer, Hakeem Chinapoo, and Dylan Woodroofe secured the gold with a time of 40.45 seconds, beating out Jamaica and Grenada who finished in second and third place respectively. Trinidad and Tobago had a successful two-day haul at the championship, with a total of 16 medals including one gold, seven silver, and eight bronze.
