The Integrity Commission (IC) has confirmed that all its annual and investigative reports that were submitted to Parliament have been tabled. This follows days of criticism from Opposition Leader Mark Golding over the appointment of Juliet Holness as House Speaker. He argued that Holness, who is the wife of Prime Minister Andrew Holness, has shown a lack of independence regarding certain parliamentary affairs.
Golding expressed specific concern over Mrs. Holness’ handling of the tabling of reports from the IC and the auditor general. Following Golding’s comments, a government walkout was led by the prime minister during a press conference.
The IC, in response to media coverage suggesting delay in tabling reports, has issued a statement to clarify the situation. They stated that all reports that have been submitted to parliament have indeed been tabled, with no outstanding reports.
Discussing ongoing matters that are currently under the IC’s investigation, the anti-corruption body emphasized it cannot make any public comments due to restrictions by Sections 56(1) and/or 53(3) of the Integrity Commission Act. The commission highlighted its practice of issuing a media release everytime an investigative report is sent to Parliament for tabling in the interest of transparency. Positions or identifying details about the subjects of these reports are withheld as required by law.
The IC further stated that upon the tabling of an investigation report in Parliament, it informs the public through an advisory on its official social media and also publishes the report on its official website. The assurance from the IC answers the criticisms and doubts raised about the status of the reports, stating clear its adherence to the procedures and laws.

Do we trust the Integrity Commissions transparency, or is there more to uncover?
Do we really trust all these reports though? Can Parliament handle it? 🤔
Parliament better step up and do its job instead of questioning their ability. We need transparency and accountability, not doubt. Lets hold them to a higher standard and demand action, not excuses. Trust is earned, not given. Time for some real leadership.
Do we really trust that all reports were tabled? Seems fishy to me.
Oh, come on now. Dont be so quick to jump to conclusions. Theres no need to assume the worst without any evidence. Lets give the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Trust but verify, right?
