Karen Read is accused of killing her boyfriend, officer John O’Keefe in 2022 with her vehicle and leaving him in a snow bank at a friends house. Her defense team is claiming that she was framed by law enforcement and a group of people that John was with the night of his death.
June 10, 2022 – A Norfolk County grand jury indicts Karen Read on charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter while operating under the influence of alcohol, and leaving the scene of personal injury and death.
