Nikesh Mistry, 34, was recently handed a jail term at Aylesbury Crown Court for a horrifying crash that was caught on camera in Milton Keynes. The crash resulted in a motorcyclist being catapulted over the side of a bridge and suffering serious injuries after being thrown from his bike. Mistry also crashed head-on with another vehicle, causing serious injuries to the front passenger. He pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The incident occurred on November 19, 2022, when Mistry was driving a silver BMW 320 near the Walton roundabout in Milton Keynes. An incident with a motorbike ridden by the victim, a man in his 40s, led to a non-verbal exchange between Mistry and the motorcyclist. Mistry then used his vehicle to force the motorcyclist to the offside of the carriageway, swerving towards him and causing both vehicles to travel onto the wrong side of the road. This forced the motorcyclist to take evasive action to avoid a crash.
Mistry continued to force the motorcyclist off the road, ultimately causing the rider to be thrown from his bike and catapulted over the bridge, landing in undergrowth underneath. The rider sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Mistry, unable to control his vehicle further, crashed head-on with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, resulting in serious injuries to the front passenger of that car. They were taken by ambulance to Milton Keynes University Hospital.
Investigating officer Pc Phil McGlue described the incident as an extreme example of road rage, emphasizing that Mistry’s response to the situation was violent and disproportionate. He highlighted that drivers who engage in such behavior will be rigorously investigated and held accountable for their actions. As a result of his actions, Mistry was sentenced to four years and 10 months in prison, as well as being disqualified from driving for the same duration and required to pass an extended re-test before regaining his license.
The sentencing at Aylesbury Crown Court on March 13 followed Mistry’s guilty plea to the charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. The footage of the crash, captured on camera, serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of dangerous driving and road rage. Mistry’s actions resulted in serious injuries to multiple individuals and underscore the importance of responsible and safe driving practices on the road.

Why didnt anyone help the biker instead of just filming it?
Its sad how people prioritize capturing a video over helping someone in need. Societys obsession with social media likes and shares has overshadowed basic human decency. We need to remember to prioritize compassion over content.

Relax, its a public place, not a spy mission. If you dont want to be seen, dont ride your bike in the open. Privacy matters, but so does common sense.
