Webinar: Supporting Burglary Investigation PowerApp

Hear from Humberside Police Detective Chief Inspector Doug Blackwood, who supports the NPCC National Burglary Portfolio and Tisski who will share how a new PowerApp is being used in policing to support police officers and investigators with limited experience tap into the knowledge and skills of seasoned detectives when investigating burglary.

Policing recognises the distress that victims of burglary experience, the thought of a stranger entering their home and taking personal items is horrendous. Whilst investigating the crime to help bring offenders to justice is a key role of the police, those officers who attend also work to support the victim and the wider community to reduce the risk of further crimes. Also by recording the details of the offence in a structured way, policing can work with other agencies to design out the risk of crime or identify trends which enable proactive enforcement work, again helping to reduce the risk of being a victim.
