The new documentary, “Leaving Neverland,” sheds light on why people who say they are child sex abuse survivors may not come forward. In the film, Wade Robson explains why he waited more than two decades to accuse Michael Jackson of abuse. Dr. Veronique Valliere, a clinical psychologist with more than 25 years experience working with offenders and survivors of child sex abuse, joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss changing the narrative around sexual abuse and what parents can to do protect their children.

    This is deeply disgusting and sad. For sexually abused children PLEASE pray for them to be healed, provided for (food, water, clothes, etc), protection from all type and types of evil, and for their salvation! AND don't only pray these things for children who were sexually abused, but all children. Thanks!

    I don’t report it because I don’t want to deal with the drama he is going to say it’s a lie and his family will defend him and I feel police won’t believe me just like my uncle didn’t so there’s no point.

    Yes, when I was 9 years old I was abused sexually by another kid who was also 9. I was also abused sexually on the internet when I was around 7-8, and I felt horrible. I haven’t told anyone by now.

    Yes i was abuse in Nigeria for good 16 years of my life and now am 21 years old so painful i cry everyday of my life because of this. being in a relationship is a problem for me 😭😭😭 i need help i didn't tell anyone about it 😭😭😭 when I was in Nigeria 😭😭😭😭😭😭

    When our niece came to us about a abusive father, we notified police and CPS.
    CPS DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
    Now our lives are being threatened, we are accused of defamation, we are accused of lying.
    The child who brought abuse to our attention now denies it ever happened.
    The children were never separated from their mother, who was aware of the abuse.
    I will never get involved again because of CPS.

    It’s not harder for boys, it’s different. Girls have sexual response also, and it’s just as confusing. Girls are much more likely to be disbelieved, no one ever says boys are ‘crying rape’. Boys are more likely to be believed by police, see their abuser go to court, see them get longer sentences. They may fear stigma of homosexuality, or being told they were weak, and boys are not socialised to communicate in the way girls and women are, but that doesn’t make it harder, just hard for differing reasons.

    I have watched the documentary, I have seen facts about MJ concerning child molestation. I have watched videos of old and new allegations, I watched series of MJ interviews, and series of information about the court case. I have also seen facts about the accusers personal lives and Careers. And I saw their testimonies and different interviews before and after MJ's dead. And I have come to ONE conclusion. MICHEAL IS INNOCENT. This crab is all about money. It's sad we live in a world fill with wicked and corrupt people.

    I can understand teens that are defending MJ because they are too immature to see the red flags, they idolize pop stars. I don't understand adults with children that defend him, their children are at high risk if the parents are blind and don't see the red flags. With MJ all the red flags were there, and lots of them. Yet these parents didn't see them, because he was so good at manipulating everyone, he presents himself as an angel, the poor man that didn't have a childhood and making people feel sorry for him. That was part of the plan he needed to gain their trust or he would have not been able otherwise to get those kids in his bed. Pedophiles first aim at the parents, once you befriend the parents the rest is easier

    Who helps men who are unfairly lynched in the media? Wade was over 20 when he led as a defence witness for Michael. he defended Michael up to 2013 when his deal with the MJ estate went sour. How could FBI surveillance of 10 yrs and 2 yrs of prosecution investigation and 16 years of extreme media scrutiny miss credible evidence. MJ was acquitted on all counts.

    This kind of behavior is prevalent throughout our society; from the President to members of our Congress and Senate. Please don't just single out the Catholic Church for sexually abusive behavior. It goes on in all churches and other organizations; where individuals have been allowed to get away with this egregious behavior.

    Theres no one to turn to sometimes. This doctor doesnt know nuffen man. If your abused theres people to turn to. Talk to them. It could be your aunt your brother or anybody. They will help.
