Its frustrating when people accuse others of "wanting to be white" when they do things that are just considered… normal? While the same people take negative things and try to spin it as "black culture"…

  • @badbeat7108 July 5, 2024

This is the funniest thing I heard all day a bunch of LGBT Republicans 😂😂😂 #not like us🤣🤣🤣

  • @HypnoticHollywood July 5, 2024

You should identify with people who think like you, not people who look like you.

  • @emilfjachmann215 July 5, 2024

    Thanks!

  • @Nonya267 July 5, 2024

I may be pale, but I get passed when I listen to a black person talking sane, the black community become racist towards them. So damn stupid.

  • @TheHyphen July 5, 2024

Critical thinking Black people, young people like those in this video and those i the comments I'm seeing are the ones that can change the U.S. and bring the diaspora together because it takes a thinker to see all perspectives and understand nuance and to have patience with the situation.

  • @ScorpioMami415 July 5, 2024

Amir, your content is amazing. Thanks for sharing. In my own words, do what's best for you in your life. Don't let the Black Community or no other community lump you into one category. We are not all the same. News flash oops…this black girl can and always will get my hair wet!!😂😂😂

  • @idjilju2835 July 5, 2024

My friend regularly got the comment that she was an Oreo or she sounded really white while at the university of Baltimore. She ended up transferring to another local university

  • @chillipeeperfan803 July 5, 2024

    Where is your family from?

  • @victorjordanjr1109 July 5, 2024

haha im 41 and still get called acting white lol. in the 90s growing up it was not "black" to play guitar or listen to music outside of hip hop and RNB. compared to the 90s and early 2000s the "community" has gotten worse.

  • @prodbyhostile July 5, 2024

It’s also a thing with ignorant Mexicans. I remember a guy saying that I think I’m white because I didn’t defend him when an Asian dude made a border joke. But those guys always cracked on each other and I was new so I thought they were just playing plus he laughed at it but got upset later. That guy just envied me bcuz I was educated and he wasn’t shit.

  • @TheJonSpikes July 5, 2024

I keep saying we dont all have to love it, we dont all have to identify with it, but it all of our responsibility to keep up a respectful image for black people.

  • I always thought how black people love going into other cultures (which is absolutely fine) but gate keep their own. Anime for example. They love it which is fine but they'll make fun of a japanese person for wearing dreads

Theres an example i forgot but a black man had japanese characters tattooed but he had a problem cause a japanese basketball player has black hair

Black culture is fun and thats why its popular with the younger generation. The young like fun. And whatever is fun they'll go to it. First it was rock in the 70s and now its rap in the 2000s

  • @lesmar234 July 5, 2024

MY FATHER IS HALF BLACK/WHITE…MOM IS 100% PUERTO RICAN. I CAME OUT VERY LIGHT WITH BLUE EYES…BUT HAVE NON STRAIGHT HAIR…I NEVER WILL ID MYSELF AS BLACK…

  • @NonameNoname-lm2zg July 5, 2024

The bottom 10% is not "the black community"..the black community is that other 90% that they dont promote.

  • @Tekirai July 5, 2024

I’m so glad my family doesn’t have that dingus square thinking but I’ve seen it as had that told to me and I’m like: I do what a I want 😂😂

  • @alexiscastillo7955 July 5, 2024

    It's generational ignorance

  • @ivykamendi1647 July 5, 2024

    this is some bs

  • @ivykamendi1647 July 5, 2024

i have one question who controls the image/presence of black people in American society?!😐

  • I say, to everyone. Please be yourself. Be true to yourself. Don't live a lie for popularity. Don't try to fit into a box. When you are questioned or confronted Please try kindness, understanding and patience so that you don't discredit yourself. Ive always different, calef a freak and a dyke. None of that matters to me or has changed who I am or how i behave. I am far from perfect. I jave hirt people and been unkind. But I have come back to myself and remained honest in that. It's doable and works.

  • I think you are incredible. I love your "voice" and by that I mean your intelligent, well informed content. I do believe you are balanced and experienced in your comments and content. Thank you for supporting and encouraging everyone to have the thoughts take action.

  • @jseay12487 July 5, 2024

Some of these issues aren’t just in the black community. Just got a little information. Also I seen people of different races marching and tearing down communities during a Black Lives Matter rally. It wasn’t just black folks out there. But I do agree about the freedom part. It’s so much pressure to be black , no matter if you are educated, part of the community, blacks from the hood and/or woke black folks . It’s too much fighting amongst each other . It’s sad , I wonder if other races are fighting each other this much no matter what your stance is . I appreciate your video , I just hope we can experience freedom and stop fighting each other verbally etc .

  • @lemartravis1 July 5, 2024

How could These points sprout so ironically narrow mindedly

  • @garyboi6255 July 5, 2024

Im waiting on the lie all tho I'm black I don't agree with the lgbet community

  • @jiminietz7841 July 5, 2024

    Shannon Sharpe's son

  • @goodwood9950 July 5, 2024

I'd rather live in my grandparents era where we had black wealth family and communities

  • @goodwood9950 July 5, 2024

Did u say racism is not a threat when the Trump administration and Republicans proposed 400 different voter suppression bills and a handful passed. Constantly blocking educational materials to teach the past of the country. Cuz if u don't know your history you're doomed to repeat. The only solace I find is the wealthy will kill us all after they separate us

  • @boneappletee3395 July 5, 2024

The way I see it, there are lots of people of all colors and sides of politics who have this “us vs them” mentality, and it is detrimental.

  • @josephpullium5026 July 5, 2024

Start asking them “who do you want me to act like? You?”

    And watch them fume.

  • @hardcandy5670 July 5, 2024

WE KNOW U DONT …. Lol

  • @hardcandy5670 July 5, 2024

    We know u dont …

  • @jdanielle5670 July 5, 2024

Thank you Amir. I am black and I do not identify with most of the dominant black culture. I say dominant because your way of thinking was actually more common for black people back in the day (way, way, way back). There is a lot of TRAUMA in the black community that has manifested in different ways and is not being dealt with properly. The collective conscience of black people is low vibrational, just like the collective conscience of white people.

  • @MrJbattle17 July 5, 2024

Such an important topic. I don’t think you are wrong, but just like fat shaming someone into being into “shape”. I don’t think it’s right to meet someone from an impoverished neighborhood, who only knows the hurt, trauma and lack of education ecosystem that they have been exposed to and Expect the behavior from someone outside of those conditions? It is by design that food is terrible in our communities, fresh food is rarely an option. My point is that there are other contributing factors to the equation, than just black people acting out

  • @mrhoopfan1 July 5, 2024

Don't let the media( which isn't run by black people) tell you what " black culture" is

  • @rerebrook5057 July 5, 2024

The video has good intentions but you missed the mark by NOT providing historical context or facts. Most of your talking points are based on emotions.

    1. HBCUs we’re created because we were shut out of PWIs. The rollback of affirmative action intents to keep it that way.
    2. Whites wearing Black hairy styles: often times they take it as their own as of they invented it.
    2. Police killings: it may be a lower amount than you think but the point is that 200 years later it’s still happening without any laws being put into place to protect us or eradicate it.

Next time please study the history the history of this country before make such a video.
