‘Blonde’ Criticized for Marilyn Monroe Sexual Assault Scene

The new Netflix film “Blonde” starring Ana de Armas contains a graphic scene that depicts Marilyn Monroe being sexually assaulted by President John F Kennedy. “Blonde” is based on a well-regarded novel written by acclaimed author Joyce Carol Oates. It’s fiction and does not claim to be an accurate fact-filled biography. However, numerous critics are concerned that viewers of the movie will think JFK really did assault Monroe, tarnishing his reputation.

    Hated this film 🤬🤬

  • @JillCrato June 16, 2024

What is wrong with these women who have relations with these rich, powerful men? Did Marilyn seriously think Jack or Bobby would leave their wives for her? Why couldn't she just enjoy her trysts with them and then let them go? They were never going to marry her! She had a high IQ! She certainly wasn't as stupid as she pretended to be! I just don't understand her reasoning at all!!!!

Yeah she stood for “left leaning points of view” when democracy actually stood for something, not the garbage they try and sell now

  • @giannaacevedo9045 June 16, 2024

    Y

  • @EtherealAriel June 16, 2024

This was such a misogynistic fantasy. Poor Marilyn suffered in life and now in death.

  • @sarcastian June 16, 2024

The director is a total a**hole, he responded to the criticism by saying we’re all a bunch of oversensitive American’s, no your just a disrespectful POS who obviously doesn’t like Marilyn and just wanted to make a slanderous movie about her.

I watched “ BLONDE “ it’s horrendous, read the reviews no wonder it got a 1 star . Iv never felt so depressed & upset , it was so dark , it didn’t show her having friends just being raped , abused & made up sex with Charlie Chaplin Jr

  • @EM-lz9kg June 16, 2024

It’s a horrendous film. It starts with her being raped . It just shows her being abused 24:7 with Daddy issues . It doesn’t show her friendships ie with Ella Fitzgerald. It’s a appalling film written by someone who never met her . I cried as it was so depressing

  • @KDrop84 June 16, 2024

The movie was a rape fetish nightmare and terrible

  • @08V09 June 16, 2024

This movie shows how Hollywood is a sick and vile place, its a cautionary tale

  • @trusha_tungare June 16, 2024

It was a difficult year for Marilyn…. Reputation ruined, dress ruined! Stop doing this to her legacy!

  • @SnarkierThan-U-R June 16, 2024

    JFK TARNISHED HIS OWN REPUTATION

  • @M.A.C.01 June 16, 2024

*multiple sexual assaults scenes you mean.

  • @a.nonymous5844 June 16, 2024

Does the director have rape fantasies? Is the director impotent? Seems to hate women like the ripper did. 😵😵😵

  • @Manny30004 June 16, 2024

1:34 I don’t know about jfk just that he got assassinated and that he knew Martin Luther king jr that’s it but don’t know about him

  • Wtf

  • @HausOfAdonis June 16, 2024

I dunno if I trust this guy on Kennedy and Maralyn’s relationship. But Kennedy was known for doing stuff like that. There were other rape scenes in this movie too.

  • the director is a misogynistic person too

  • @phoenixjones1915 June 16, 2024

Yes it’s wrong to exploit her for trauma porn but she was beaten and raped multiple times by lovers and business workers , we don’t know every detail but I think the film just wanted to showcase her for what happened to her .

  • @Vicky-st1cm June 16, 2024

As soon as that first r*pe scene was shown my dad turned it off and dam near threw the control into the tv
But for real let that woman Rest In Peace she had a hard life and still managed to be gracious and beautiful

  • @haysfamily3908 June 16, 2024

We don’t claim any of this energy ✝️✝️✝️

  • @Robin.Tussin June 16, 2024

I don't know why they just didn't throw in a gang forcing entry through the back door, and also some kind of understanding she could have had with a horse and a midget…
I mean, why not? They were already up and had all the equipment – wasted opportunity, pfff.

  • @mrajclnlvmrgl3220 June 16, 2024

    Poor marilyn

  • @Ankit-mt9yq June 16, 2024

Just because one doesnt have proof doesnt mean it didnt happen

  • @Little-Dude June 16, 2024

It's unsettling that for someone who was generally considered to have been mistreated in her life, the filmmakers still had to fabricate assaults and violence against her where there wasn't. In fact certain real-life storylines – like with Kennedy or Marilyn's mom talking about her father – were depicted as entirely abusive when there's no evidence they were at all.

  • @Cupid642 June 16, 2024

She did tell the truth in an interview with somebody who's going to write a book about the whole thing but I don't think the book ever came out

  • @Cupid642 June 16, 2024

They need to just tell the truth Don't hide nothing

  • @chrismclellanart June 16, 2024

I believe her an JFK had an affair. I in no way believe that JFK assaulted her. I think their affair would have been more romantic in those days and I believe JFK treated her as a woman way more better than what was portrayed in this film. I believe the parts about the secret service men sneaking her in though because he was after all a president. I've read every book about her and have seen every movie and documentary about her so far so I guess we can just believe what we want. I will choose not to believe what happened in this hotel scene.

  • @Two-Side June 16, 2024

I haven't watched the movie since I'm 13, but I already know this is absolutely disgusting. They dare to rip apart a dead lady's reputation when she was already tormented and left to die. They even depict JFK as a 60s Bill Clinton, while all it was in real life was a consensual relationship(not that it was a good thing). In my opinion, the REAL people were good, inspiring, and innocent victims whose stories have ended really badly. My sympathies to Norma Jeane Mortenson(aka Marylin Monroe).

  • @bravesoul5743 June 16, 2024

But in fairness, Ana De Armas is such a GREAT ACTRESS!! She did an awesome portrayal of Marilyn Monroe!!

  • @dominicbutenis1670 June 16, 2024

I'd like to look at this from a different angle, I think this movie was meant to showcase how awful and miserable her life was, The name alone "Blonde" is derogatory as its what most people saw her as, just a "dumb blonde" who was practically a sex doll, she was exploited and abused her entire life, the movie felt like a very long drug haze that she endured to cope with her mental illness, we can see she hates her "Marilyn Monroe" alter ego but she also depends on it to stay sane during important events while Norma Jane is desperately seeking meaning in her life, be it through taking care of a child or meeting her absent father, she never manages to achieve either, her only hope was the letters and even they turn out to be fake, just like everyone's lust for her masquerade as admiration.

If were looking at this from a mere suffering aspect, then the movie manages to deliver.

But highlighting her as a person and her proud achievements? None existent.

  • @kristijones5446 June 16, 2024

Well we all know he was an unfaithful, adulterous pig, and his brother was no different, even murdering Marilyn because she threatened to hold a press conference to expose their affairs! They’re both pigs that used her!

  • @greendayfan555 June 16, 2024

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • @bug688 June 16, 2024

I love how people say "this isnt supposed to be a biography of Marilyn or anything it's just a fictional story about someone" like we don't have eyes. and also that doesn't make it not bad

  • @iconslegends5230 June 16, 2024

Disgusting movie, sorry Marilyn for this senseless movie.

  • @GG_Booboo June 16, 2024

The actress playing Marilyn has the most likeness to the real Marylin Monroe! It looks good; bad publicity is good publicity

  • @vanousisi8112 June 16, 2024

She had a baby with the gemini? Jajaja

  • @vanousisi8112 June 16, 2024

But what is that?.the man in the movie
    Said to the gemini
    The three of us ..
    Jajajaja
But what kind of movie is it ?

  • @vanousisi8112 June 16, 2024

Is it really based on her life?
Because they had me disgusted with the scene where she was reading a page then a man penetrated her from behind ,then a threesome intercourse, then in the movies or cinema with them again ..then another scene sex with them .

  • @vanousisi8112 June 16, 2024

Me i still hate Kennedy for what he did to Marilyn . Treating like a hoe , all the men she dated

  • @MySweetAriane June 16, 2024

Wow I had to stop watching it after they showed her bent over with the casting director. That was a way too much. Netflix gets way too graphic.

  • @KnightRiderWRX June 16, 2024

Movie about a 304, modern day 304s mad.

  • @quanashiab.9620 June 16, 2024

This isn't a opinion, it's a huge FACT that this movie is awful this time. Literally everyone agrees(and if people don't, they don't realize how they made up horrible fake stuff on her) biopic or not, this is very unpalogeticlly absurd.

  • @elisnow5136 June 16, 2024

Wow she looks exactly like Marylyn

  • @ZEFIXPG3D June 16, 2024

    Wow
