    Correction: All EAST ASIAN casts.

Always respected her and how she wouldn't allow the accent she used for the character to be made into the butt of jokes. She used it to try and portray the author's mother more accurately, when asked about the accent in an interview, she talked about how storied it was, because the real life inspiration lived in China and two different U.S. states, gaining a very mixed accent, but when the interviewer made it clear they just wanted her to "do the accent" and say something funny, she was very firm about it not being for comedy or caricature.
She did her absolute best and she was under so much pressure and being treated in utterly inhuman ways. Seeing her bring up the accent issue again and how people equate accents with intelligence or lack thereof… is really common and unfortunate.

This is so sad. We are all better than our worst tweet.

  • @maximotest2226 June 18, 2024

Oh my that 15 minutes didn't last longer.

  • @sactyb June 18, 2024

So I don’t get it..what happened??!! Did she go too woke or did the woke attack her??!!

  • @ContactGaming1 June 18, 2024

Wow man , just wow, I support all Asian actresses and any actress on that note, but what happened to Constance was absolutely ridiculous, and I can see the emotion as she’s doing this interview, really wasn’t her fault

  • @da_revo5747 June 18, 2024

    What is this trash?

Wendi mclendon covey speaks out about personal struggles allegations of sexual harassment nightline.

  • @OctalysisPrimeYT June 18, 2024

I think the internet is overly harsh for attacking her for complaining about her own show. However, I think not only coming out of social media, but doing this interview probably is related to releasing her new book. Nothing wrong with that.

  • @nobodynothing00000 June 18, 2024

A hit teevee show is like a money train. Especially if it goes into syndication. I still don't know why she sent out that first tweet.

  • @jmb3492 June 18, 2024

    tu as un grand talent

  • @pep590 June 18, 2024

Pushing barriers???? Lol Their far-leftist bosses at ABC decided what they would push and not push. Fresh off the Boat is a racial slur used by the racist elitist's at ABC.

  • @chobitASHL3Y June 18, 2024

i love her so much <3

  • @whateverb9778 June 18, 2024

Idk. I feel like her attitude was pretty horrible. The comments calling her ungrateful is bc she really came across that way…

Terrible that she went through what she went through with the producer but it feels like she wants to play the victim

  • @Beapoem0802 June 18, 2024

God, what a useless and avoidable pain. People are such idiots. She wrote one tweet that sounded a little entitled and suddenly she‘s a villain. Okay. No wonder more and more stars stay away from social media platforms.

  • @pheonix9291 June 18, 2024

    Darkness normalized.

  • @user-ed2et3er1g June 18, 2024

Wow really like this woman hope she gets the opportunity to make another great movie 🙏

  • @CC-kl4nh June 18, 2024

Glad she is finally speaking up. People judge before understanding. Asian women have a lot of trauma due to a lot of stereotypes. She did not want to work in a toxic environment. Imagine showing up everyday with people want to have sex with you or pressuring to have sex. I mean how the heck do you focus. Toxic work environment.

  • @Antistasi-dy7ce June 18, 2024

its funny how I never run into any people in daily life that profess woke idealogy, so next time you hear cancel then uncancel them because there are 100x as many ppl that know wokesness and far right ideology is nothing but a smoke screen to divide and conquer and obviously utterly ridiculous not to mention if the woke thing they are so enlightened why do they allow themselves to be manipulated

  • @Bumper_jed June 18, 2024

Both of the asian women: juju chang and Constance Wu are married to yt men

  • @Bumper_jed June 18, 2024

    😂

  • @Bumper_jed June 18, 2024

All Asian women who are famous are married to yt men

  • @Bumper_jed June 18, 2024

    White washed Asian chick

  • @SketchyV9 June 18, 2024

this cute asian princess didnt deserve that!

  • @chrislisenby2681 June 18, 2024

I get an entitlement and victimhood vibe from her.

  • @justinpeipeiyu June 18, 2024

Constance Wu has a habit of victimizing herself when she could just as easily praise herself for everything she’s endured and overcame

  • @geisha_live June 18, 2024

Oh no, I'm really sorry for her 🥺

  • I just saw this and i am shocked, but also remember my own experience of racism, social isolation and various types of abuse in my asian and asian american community because i was biracial, young, and naiive. Some bullies in the world are evil and cruel behind all comprehension. I wish they were sent to life in prison…😢

  • @MonstroInLA June 18, 2024

Worked on the Fox lot for 8 years never heard anything good about her. She would go to the gym where everyone else would train including stars like jlo and act like we were gawking her in some way, when most there didn't know who she was.

  • @iwasmiwa June 18, 2024

she's literally the most thoughtful and sweetest person you can just tell with the way she acts and the way she carries herself. I was so happy when Fresh Off The Boat came out because it was the first time I saw a whole cast like me and I don't know who else could've better played the role that Constance did other than herself. I can't believe she went through this like Michelle Yeoh, Constance Wu, and Arden Cho are in my opinion the ones that have been leading Asian representation in Hollywood. I'm so glad she's back and is doing better. To whoever bullied her over that twitter comment which is completely justified with her going through sexual harassment by its producer, you need to get rid of Twitter, throw your phone away and your existence off the Internet.

  • @CHARISMA7171 June 18, 2024

she is such a beautiful person

  • @off3pills June 18, 2024

  • @bens3767 June 18, 2024

Notice how we haven't seen her in anything since this interview Hollyweird blacklisted her. That's what those sickos do when a woman speaks up.

  • @fezk3746 June 18, 2024

A lot of personal growth 🙂

  • @ClaireWhiteheadIrl June 18, 2024

The problem with social media is mostly based on assumptions and a lack of empathy. Everything someone says or does is taken in the worst possible way.
Someone who was ready to finish a series and had other exciting projects lined up, was upset to learn she had to stay to finish the show.
Why on earth do people need to blow that out of proportion?
Once again, asian people expected to be this model minority.

  • So crazy, cancel culture bs. She is amazing and we need more strong asian Americans in the spotlight

  • @Tlaltecuhtli_ll June 18, 2024

She should have spoke who dm her it’s to but her in a spot and if you have evidence then you don’t have to worry about.

  • @beetea9380 June 18, 2024

And btw, I loved "Lyly Lyle Crocodile"

  • @beetea9380 June 18, 2024

  • @offilawNoone June 18, 2024

  • @cmoore7518 June 18, 2024

It was sad seeing her body language, when she moves her dress to cover her legs.

  • @Western_ENT June 18, 2024

(East) Asian community look peaceful and nice from the outside, but inside it's just rotten as any other community. There are craziness, racism, hypocrisy.. and EVERYTHING ELSE! We play low profile to other races just becoz we're the SMALLEST (-size) race, not becoz we're NICER & CALMER! 🤣 That's why I don't give a damn, I play solo, community forming is supposed to help the unfortunate, the underserve.. not for them to show off their wealth and "social status" 🤣 I want the name of the actress who told her to "jump off the bridge".., that's disgusting!

  • @zacharyhall1441 June 18, 2024

Black lash..um for what???..people are beyond over sensitive gosh..get a grip..you guys almost made some hurt someone.

  • @editsdump1284 June 18, 2024

Gemma Chan def the actor who dmed her 😬

  • @Pancake_Icecream June 18, 2024

    Hope she is ok now

  • @rosevfx June 18, 2024

Playing identity games is as tough as it is destructive. Just be who you are, period. Other people don't like who you are? Screw 'em.
