DAY 100 of YSL Young Thug RICO Trial LIVE – Attorneys Discuss Ex Parte Transcript

Day 99 of Young Thug’s RICO trial is to be Monday, July 1, 2024, before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville in Atlanta, Georgia.

There will be no testimony. Attorneys are to the transcript from the June 10 ex parte meeting between prosecutors, Judge Glanville and Kenneth “Woody” Copeland. Testimony actually may not resume until July 8.

Legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff will live stream the proceedings.

Legal name Jeffery Lamar Williams, the rapper is accused of leading the Young Slime Life criminal street gang in a years-long organized crime spree.

Prosecutors have 191 overt acts backing the racketeering conspiracy charge against Thug and his five trial co-defendants, Rodalius Ryan, Deamonte “Yak Gotti” Kendrick, Marquavius Huey, Shannon Stillwell and Quamarvious Nichols.

The acts range from murder to rap lyrics, and the RICO conspiracy charge is in the same indictment as 64 other charges, including two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

so do they get the transcript of that hour when Love and Judge were in the room without Woody and his Counsel

  • So, hearing about former judge Petersons punishment for her ex parte that was performed by her law clerk and not herself, he finally decides to do something right. I would beg to differ that 21 days is considered “promptly”. He recognizes that his butt is on the line and that if he doesn’t do what he’s doing here today, that there’s a good possibility that he will not just lose his job but that the defendants will get the mistrial with double jeopardy freedom. A little bit late imo.
I’ll add that the portion of the ex parte where Woody was told about jail time length for not testifying, is in fact coercion since his own attorney told the judge on Friday that he recommended that Woody not testify. Big mistake.

“This honorable court rules that this honorable court did nothing wrong that you should know about.”

Did the lawyer at the end pour a lil salt in the (glanville) wound?

looks like the judge had a busy weekend consulting with lawyers and covering his ass. He's cancelled the show cause hearing, backtracked and claims he has no opinion on whether bumpus told steel anything, or whether steel did anything improper by revealing that info in court, agreed to send the motions to repeal to another judge and released the transcripts of the ex parte meeting.

I'm glad the judge decided to correct some of his errors in this debacle. He appeared to be totally shameless and unconcerned with the law last week.
