Alright. Over the last few weeks I’ve become well acquainted with King of Nothing, a commentary video essayist who has blown up over the last couple of years and reached new heights of success with his long documentary videos. He’s garnered plenty of praise from fans and fellow YouTubers alike for his witty jokes and systematic breakdown of the people he lays his scope on – leaving outsiders like myself to have a generally good impression of him. But after a controversial video on Ethan Klein and some questionable conduct since its release, it prompted me to actually take a deeper look into his content. And, I’ve left my video marathon not exactly impressed.
What on the surface felt like a weak video has turned into only the most recent showing of a constant and pathetic pattern of behavior, and it’s only established to me that King Of Nothing is a performative critic who constantly makes absurd and baseless arguments. He’ll go as far as to defame the subjects of his videos and only gets away with it due to them being easy targets who have already done something wrong and are currently hated by a lot of people. You might think this guy’s a solidified veteran from his multi-hour long videos, but instead, he comes off as pretentious, disingenuous, self-centered and a massive hypocrite.
