Israel warned Hezbollah and said it does not seek war with Lebanon but could devastate the country. “We do not want war, but we are ready for any scenario,” said Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant during his US visit. He added, “Hezbollah knows we can cause massive damage in Lebanon if war breaks out.” He also said that the Israeli military is capable of sending Lebanon “back to the stone age”. The UN has warned that such a conflict could be catastrophic.
