HEAD INJURY AT HEAD STASH: Dennis cops investigating violent “armed robbery…” [HN VIDEO]

WEST DENNIS – [DEVELOPING] – As you will hear in the following HN Video, shortly after 7:00 p.m. this past Thursday evening – March 26, 2020 – Dennis patrol officers responded to The Head Stash store at 313 Main Street for a report of a possible armed robbery, where one suspect allegedly threatened to shoot the reporting party and his friend.

Officers began looking for 4 males and one female who reportedly fled the scene in a black 4-door sedan.

The first officer on scene found an injured male, vomiting uncontrollably after reportedly being struck in the head. Dennis Rescue responded to evaluate the victim.

Meanwhile, officers stopped the possible suspect vehicle on Whistler Lane, in the area of Center Street in South Dennis.

According to the call audio, as the investigation unfolded, officers learned they were looking for just one male suspect and that the others were just “spectators.” The prime suspect’s wallet was found in the backseat of the sedan that was stopped on Whistler Lane. Officers also found blood on the backseat. According to radio transmissions, several occupants of the vehicle were reportedly detained during the traffic stop… the prime suspect, however, was not in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

The following HN Video highlights the initial call audio. Additional details regarding the case and its outcome were unavailable at the time of this report. HN has reached out to an administrator with the Dennis Police Department requesting additional details if possible. It’s uncertain whether the suspect was eventually arrested or not. The condition of the victim was also uncertain at the time of this report.
