    Its not 3 times less, which would mean losing $348,000 yr, but rather 1/3 or one-third. That said, assuming they invest themselves is naiive. There are great investment firms that will charge you 1% of your account value annually, but require a minimum of 3 to 5 million. Such firms, from 1993-2023, averaged net returns of 12% after tax. So $1 million turns into $28 million in 30 years. Pelosi is 84. Her husband owns an real estate and investment firm. They live in San Francisco. Its highly likely she had at least $5 million in 1990 at age 54, and had advice from her husband – Apple isnt that far from home.

    That is easy. the reason is the flaw in our democracies.

    Flaw #1 Allowing them to " serve " forever.
    Flaw #2 Allowing family dynasties.
    Flaw #4 like the old Greek safety measure we do not vote out the worst performers regularly. Though the old Greek setup of Ostracizing and getting them all the way out of the country might be a little steep, i would settle with a lifetime ban on political jobs.
    Flaw #5. Parties decades old,,,,,, well no good, really a political party should as best exist for 50 – 60 years before the necessary decisions they made made PPL not voting for them.
    CUZ that is why politicians exist, to take the unpopular decisions PPL otherwise would otherwise not make.

    My country a very well one PPL often pull out of the tailpipe,,,, absolutely 0 rulers for lobbyists, and this is also the #1 least corrupt country in the world,,,,,, LOL

    Lobbying and insider trading should be illegal but those things can only benefit the rich and powerful so it's legal. It just looks like the law was only created to keep the great unwashed under control.

    That's why I think Bush had something to do with 9/11. Create an enemy, have something disastrous happen to use an excuse to attack that enemy. Go to war with that enemy after investing in defence, people pay more taxes over inflation, and that tax money goes to the defence companies, driving up their stock price and enriching politicians. I'm sick of liberals thinking Democrats are completely innocent when they do all of this themselves while distracting people with divisive politics.

    Most likely from the donor racketeering between military government financial and the congressional votes for the money and the donations from the military and interested donors to the congressional campaigns. Also insider trading on Wall St. Extremely corrupt system. More war and military, more financial gain for this racket.

    Be careful for whom you vote. Get involved in politics at the local level. Send what you can afford to your candidate. Shame the politicians who don’t support the working level people.
