The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of a handful of teams that reportedly have interest in Canucks’ forward J.T. Miller, and as the TSN Hockey Insiders explain, Leafs’ assistant GM Laurence Gilman has been seen scouting the Canucks. What could this mean as the deadline approaches? As well, could the Russia-Ukraine conflict have an impact on KHL players like Andrei Kuzmenko signing in the NHL? The Insiders have all that and more.

    Forwards are the least of the Maple Leafs' issues! They are very well off offensively! They need to add a defensive d man and a legit backup to take some of the load off of Campbell! Solid options for d would be De Hann, Lindholm, Chiarot and Giordano. Solid options for a backup would be Georgiev!

    Lol, Leafs have enough firepower. It's ridiculous how much they have locked up in their top scorers, but can't win games because what they really need is a goalie and defense.

    As a flames fan that hopes we crush Vancouver and Edmonton … I sure as fuxk hope not… Vancouver has everything.. just keep playing hockey .. ur time will come… Don’t trade anyone .. Jt Miller, Garland and brock are players you wanna keep … you already have everything you need just keep riding it y’all got enough talent believe it to win it all

    Take a peek at the league scoring stats …. JT Miller currently has more points than Marner, Panarin or Nylander. And who would take on any of those bloated contracts? Toronto has nothing the Canucks want and the Rangers would be unwillingly to part with the 2 or 3 top players & prospects it would take to get Miller. JT Miller for K Miller & Schneider & a 1st. Ha ha!

    Leafs are not going to trade a first and top D prospect ++ to add miller. Makes zero sense and Dubas got nailed hard on the Foligno trade. Also good defenceman are way over priced right now so the value of keeping young def should be top priority.

    Toronto have nothing Vancouver would want in the long term for Miller, and I'm omitting Nylander in these trade proposals. Vancouver would want primarily a blue chip young defenceman, a 1st and a roster player. Off that proposal, Toronto has Sandin or Liljegren, then someone like Bunting or Kerfoot and their 1st. I don't believe Toronto is giving up Sandin or Bunting and don't believe Van is particularly interested in Liljegren. Toronto is better off trying to trade for a top 4 right shot defenceman or get some cap relief because that's their real need.

    My question wouldn't be about the Russians wanting to come over. U guys are asking the wrong question. What about the Russian players that ARE ALREADY HERE BUT DO NOT HAVE CITZENSHIP!??? I don't believe Ovechkin for example is American. What happens if Biden says "no all NHL Russian born players will have their visas revoked?" Then what? We would lose some really good players such as Ovechkin Brobobskvy Malkin Tarensko Kucherov etc.

    I hope it happens just for the entertainment value of Canucks fans losing it. I hear Bruce Boudreau is a big leafs fan, it’d be hilarious if a hot mic somewhere catches him whispering to the gm, “let’s give the leafs a break on this one, take 2nd rounder for miller”.
