Over the last week, erroneous reports and false statements have been published concerning the details James Robison knew about former Gateway Church pastor Robert Morris’s crimes against a 12-year-old girl in the 1980s. Now, Robison is speaking up.

    I believe the discerners have been there all along.
    I believe there were those who did come forward and attempt to speak out; but were often dismissed
    You cannot have a sin like Robert Morris or Mike Bickle and others that has gone unrepented of and not have that leak out somewhere in your life (even if they were no longer actively engaging in immoral behavior) and someone not know…
    I pray that discerners are also restored to the church.
    That the victims are made whole.
    And that holiness, purity, and the fear of the Lord are once again the standard and present in the church.

    This is a crime and he needs to be prosecuted and he should go to jail. The fact that it went on for years. It was not a mistake. It was intentional, and it shocking somebody in that position was doing that for years four years apparently. God bless this victim. She’s a strong woman. God protect her and her family in Jesus name amen.❤

    Am I not understanding the whole story here…this happened 40 years ago. What does the Bible say about this..who without sin cast the first stone. Remember in God's eyes sin is sin, no degrees. It seems like nobody is getting what and who Christ truly is. It's the redemption story, it's the love, mercy, grace of Jesus that took away all sin of the believer. If there's repentance there is forgiveness…that's the God that Robert Morris and I serve. Please everyone stop and pray and examine your hearts and let the Holy Spirit's compassion move you to forgiveness and love.❤❤❤❤❤
    Let's send out the message to the world that our dear precious Savior that gave His life for everyone that washes away every sin….He paid my debt He did not owe, now I can come to Him boldly before His throne and receive the abundant life He has for me. Please don't let the enemy turn this into a distraction from the truth about our Fathers love and forgiveness ❤❤❤

    So many are saying David wasn't a priest, but he was 2Sam.6 he is dressed in priestly gsrments and serving in the presence of God as a preiest. He also prophecied in many of his Psalms. Just sayin

    I was molested as a 6year old by an uncle who was an evangelical pastor it happened twice at six and 12, he was a predator who had countless victims and when one brave parent spoke our pastor said he wouldn't do anything cause it would destroy the congregation 😭 so sad to put profits before innocent children, i still serve Jesus cause my trust isvin Him never on man 🙏🕊️🔥

    Nothing like throwing a brother in trouble under the bus.
    I am discussed with all of the church body that fail to consider God's Word in handling this for both sides.
    This was from 35 yrs ago.
    The parents chose not to call police and press charges.
    Pastor Morris taught repentance and counceling.
    The way Cindy brought this out was not God's way.
    Not biblical at all.
    Vengeful yes but not Biblical.
    The Bible I struts to go yo the offe der,if they will not rectify go to the elders a d that person to be brought with.
    Whoever counseled her to do this this way is carnal minded.
    In God's world we are to seek forgiveness,healing and restoration.
    This is an absolute display of wgat a poor job the churches have done teaching Christians not to act as the world acts.
    Although Cindy doesn't realize it yet it will not only destroy Morris's family,church but also her and her families.
    Satan got the best out of this.

    The first thing that hits my mind is, "Let you who are without sin cast the first stone." Pastor Morris did something terrible, but he has repented for his sin, God has forgiven him. The Bible also says that when your brother has fallen, you are to pick him up and help him stand. We don't kick people when they are down. Life and death lie in the power of the tongue. You are to speak life. How will you be judged speaking words that are not bringing life into another's soul?

    Why didn’t you step up and condemn his elder position? Even if you didn’t know her age you knew he was back in ministry way too soon. Was he really repentant when he claimed she had a Jezebel spirit?

    Why didn't any leaders around Robert Morris ASK and INVESTIGATE the details of his past "moral failure"? Why don't we ALL do that when considering someone for a leadership position. Not just official background checks which only reveal convicted s#x offenders, but personal and ministerial background checks where the people who were harmed by him may been contacted to get a broader picture of what happened. NOT just his word for it? I know the answers to this question. I just put here for everyone else to consider. Including the Robison ministry team.

    Cindy shared a room with her sister Karen. So, starting on Christmas 1982, Cindy would have had to gone into Robert's room. When girls are only a few weeks from turning 13 year-old, like Cindy was, is it possible that she had a crush on him and wanted him to be more than just a family friend? Why is it normal for females to go through puberty earlier than most boys? Could hormones have anything to do with it? What Robert did was wrong and to what extent he did remains unconfirmed. He should have made her leave the room. So, this goes on for 4 years+ and nobody in the household noticed anything peculiar? I find this difficult to believe. Sisters talk to one another. Somebody had to know something if common sense is applied to the situation. So, when it is explained that the father was furious and wanted to kill Robert in 1987, his decision to handle this was to have him removed from the ministry??? This makes no sense at all. A normal, furious and angry father would have reported this to the police and charges would have been filed. NOPE. This didn't happen. Why? What is being hidden and not disclosed here? There is more to this story. Then decades upon decades later, this was brought out into the open. Why now? It is about $$$ and not justice. If it were about justice, this would have come out way sooner than 40 years. Most here do not consider anything like this and want to put 100% blame on Robert. There was much more sin going on in that household than just with Robert.

    You can guess how far and crazy out of hand this will go, all in the taking of our Country even further down. Everybody will be suing one another, making wild and false evil accusations against anyone they deem they don't like, saying something bad happened to them many, many years ago because of their greed, when it was all a big lie. There is good reason for why the Statute of Limitations was put there in the first place over to the States. They are going to try and create a wrong precedent that many will soon regret. That is the Left's so-called "social justice". "Rob from the Rich and give to the Poor", ultimately making everybody very poor since the Feds will also be putting their hands into bigly and in turn destroying the reputations and including those Reputation Scores of many good innocent people, besides the removal of all their earthly possessions, homes, land, vehicles and financial wealth. There isn't true justice in the Leftist world of Communists so called "Social Justice." politics! There are some pretty scary things now that are happening today in this Country. So be very careful and mindful of what you wish for, because if not, it may come back to bite you very hard. As the Bible warns that the love of many will wax cold.

    The leaders of whatever church and ministry that Robert Morris served when this happened failed this young girl and damaged her even more. When this was first found out and confessed, the pastoral leaders over Morris should have told him to go turn himself in to the police immediately. No ifs ands or buts!! Who knows, he could have had a true turn around spiritually in prison and had an effective prison ministry …… or not. But instead, they swept this under the rug and took him at his word that he was repentant. That's all good and fine, yes, humble yourself, turn from your wicked ways, and repent. Taking your just sentence for breaking the law by SA of a twelve year old is part of it, which never happened.

    It is heartbreaking to see responses that “excuse” Morris on the basis that he repented and is forgiven. Phuey!
    True repentance has a humble and contrite heart. Referring in his book to a 12 year old child as a ”young lady” is deceitful! It attempts to absolve his predatory molestation of a child’s innocence. So the Body of Christ needs to stop saying he was repentant & forgiven. His misrepresentation declares otherwise!

    Besides, he was at the time of the molestation, already a declared Christian and did the abominable deeds over FOUR years after his declared Christianity, and was an ambassador of Christ on EVANGELICAL ministry in another Christian’s house.

    He continued his sin over four years, and once confronted, never involved the police in what SHOULD have been a MANDATORY REPORTING situation? The elders that knew were complicit. The elder that knew and then within 2-3 years made him a lead pastor is also complicit in NOT applying the scriptures of who qualifies to lead. If Morris had accepted logical, judicial consequences ordained by the Most High GOD, it would have proven a contrite heart and his repentance, but keeping it secret does not.

    Perhaps those that keep defending the abominable behaviour of Morris and those that elevated his position so soon after his sin, have something in common with the church at Corinth. Instead of excusing this fornicating pastor’s behavior, shouldn’t the FIRST action have been to: mourn the fornication brought upon the victim & the Body, and then to deliver him over to satan for the destruction of his flesh, and then to have purged that wicked fornicator out ? That’s what Paul said to do, to NOT keep their company! See the application to Morris in the following verse. ( In fact, where the bible refers to ‘father’s wife, wouldn’t the substitute of “his fellow Christian’s daughter” aptly apply? The child is the victim here. She was 12, even though now she is 54. This sin affects the rest of one’s life! Mourn for what she went through! Read what Paul said:

    “It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
    2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
    3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
    4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
    5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

    7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

    15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

    “15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
    16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.

    21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
    22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

    Perhaps you can see that the following verse describes some ministry qualification discrepancies in his case:
    5b “…and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
    6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
    7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
    8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
    9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.”
    ~Titus 1: 5b- 9
    Disqualifiers:
    1)He was “accused” before the elders
    2)The husband of one wife, (implies faithfulness to ONE)
    3)The abuse was not “just”
    4)He is not holy
    But mostly,
    5)He must be “blameless.” Morris was not blameless! Though he could be restored to the brotherhood of the saints upon repentance and forgiveness, he did NOT meet the spiritual qualifications to “preach” again due to, at minimum, “fornication,” though stealing a child’s innocence and adultery disqualify him too.

    Glorying in this fornication at the expense of a child, who then carried that betrayal her whole life, is not good. Also notice Paul declares he had already judged that fornicator…. That’s a word to all those that keep saying we mustn’t judge! Don’t you know that the TRUE Body of Christ (not the apostate church) will judge angels someday?

    It is my sincere prayer that the body of Christ would discern the wolves in the churches and their false doctrine, and will seek the TRUTH, Jesus Christ, and walk in His ways and not be party to the foretold coming apostasy. The falling away seems to have already begun in the hearts and minds of many misled believers. We must remember that judgement begins at the House of the Lord!
    May the Holy Spirit guide us and give us discernment and a teachable spirit, full of the love of Christ, that can not be deceived.

    I don’t agree in hurting a child at all no matter what age. I don’t agree with what this woman has done, she has waited all these years to bring this out. My question is why didn’t she bring this out when she was 20 years old. I guess because Pastor Robert Morris didn’t have a successful ministry way back then and didn’t have very much money either.
    I hope that she enjoys her time of fame and attention that she’s getting. It’s my understanding that she threatened to expose him a long time ago and he told her to go ahead and do it. I guess that she waited a bit longer to expose him so she wouldn’t look so bad since she couldn’t get any money out of him.
    Shame on you woman for doing this since Pastor Robert Morris repented over this and it’s under the Blood of Jesus Christ. Jehovah God is going to bring judgement on you.

    I am a 61 year old professional/successful Christian woman. I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ at age 27. I was sexually abused from age 5-12 from a man 10 years older than myself. I would give anything if my abuser would have apologized to me and sought professional counseling. I am extremely disappointed with you James and Betty for turning your backs on Robert Morris and his family. He did EVERYTHING correctly…he apologized to his victim, he asked her father for forgiveness and he sought counseling for 2 years. For you to throw him under the bus breaks my heart! I was a faithful contributor to your ministry, but never again!

    I'm stunned that all this is just now coming out. Why didn't this molestation come to light before Robert Morris ministry was worth millions? Think about that. Satan is the Accuser of the brethren. He is doing everything he can to stop the spread of the Gospel.
