Is that DA on drugs? WTF? Since when is murder a crime that deserves probation? Thank goodness for a judge that is strong enough to reject such an idiotic deal. The country needs more judges like him.

    BRAVO JUDGE !!!!!!!!!

  • @lespartington3564 June 16, 2024

Nice to see a Judge stop the revolving door with people who reoffend.

  • @pluckinmageetar June 16, 2024

Black defender, Native defendant….Whitey is already serving 22 years….why does this smell "progressive?"

Good for the judge who still looks at the crime and considers the victims in these cases.
I feel he will be kicking back a lot of plea deals as it seems the Public Defenders office are Leftists who only seek to adjudicate 240 years of "white male hierarchical dominance."

  • @leniederuyter8177 June 16, 2024

How much worse off can you be after time in jail for committing a murder. He will always be a murderer if not paying for his evil deeds.

  • @benwakefield93 June 16, 2024

These prosecutors should be ashamed of themselves.

  • This county's office should be ashamed and good for the judge. These people representing justice should sit down and get out of office.

  • @user-nx2oj3du4g June 16, 2024

Now this is a serious Judge

  • @JWP452 June 16, 2024

What's worse than premeditated murder? How could that perp come out worse? He deserves 50 years in prison.

  • 😊

  • @sabrinathomas6262 June 16, 2024

Don't do the crime if you're not prepared to do the time.

At the end of the day, a family is without a beloved family member.

At least, this judge stood up because the sentence was absurd, to say the less. One defendant gets 22 years to life and the other gets tap on the wrist for the murder of an individual.

  • Do a adult crime do adult time in prison

  • @tooterooterville June 16, 2024

This occurred in Minneapolis, MN? I see, then 'nuff said!

  • @mikspapa June 16, 2024

It all boils down to this. The DA, ANY DA, wants a conviction on their resume. I live in a red state, and pleas from felonies are usually pled down to misdemeanors on a regular basis. It all depends upon the size of the person charged bank account. The larger the amount, the lower the crime becomes. In today's society, a person gets all the justice their money can, and does buy. There's JUSTICE, and their's JUST US. If you don't think it's true, look to New York to see what money gets you. That's a classic example if there ever was one.

  • @jab376 June 16, 2024

This case begs for a jury trial. Most defense lawyers always claim their clients will be worst off if they serve prison time. Waoo!!! Accused murderers? What a horrible excuse for criminals.

  • @vinnie8495 June 16, 2024

Only in a democrat state, democrat government , would recommend probation for murder. Thats absolutely insane

  • @kellyanderson7624 June 16, 2024

That DA is delusional. She needs to be fired.

  • @kellyanderson7624 June 16, 2024

The liberals are going to throw temper tantrums and go after this judge now because he wasn't soft on crime and didn't accept the plea deal. THANK GOD this judge has common sense and does his job.

  • @peterplotts1238 June 16, 2024

Maybe I missed it, but I heard no expression of remorse for his crime or any appreciation of the magnitude of the harm he did to this man and his family. This wasn't a hard decision. What made this a rare exception to the regular practice of accepting pleas was the prosecutor's unwillingness to treat this as a crime instead of an opportunity to engage in social engineering while paying little or no regard to the victim, his family, and the public safety.

  • @jh.4770 June 16, 2024

    1:55

    He'll come out worse???

Excuse me but he was involved in a murder, how can it get any worse than that?

To me, in my opinion, the DA is saying murder is nothing. That is offensive. I applaud the judge here.

  • @hcderksen June 16, 2024

    How about capital punishment?

  • @TonyJay504 June 16, 2024

That's a good Judge he is fair

  • Thrilled to see a tough judge! It's well past time for offenders to get their just due.

  • @makingmoney8470 June 16, 2024

The D.A. ACTING LIKE A DEFENSE ATTORNEY

  • @todddanforth8853 June 16, 2024

Decisions to reject soft-headed plea deals should NOT BE SURPRISING!!!!!!! Hooray for this wise Judge!!!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  • @IMFrank-wv2eq June 16, 2024

    Great Judge, feculent "prosecutor"!

  • @johnrambo9104 June 16, 2024

Well, then the answer is clear, KEEP HIM IN PRISON, so he has NO CHANCE of assaulting anyone ever again! DUH!

  • @TheOldTeddy June 16, 2024

In minnesoa a jury 'of his peers' can not BUT find him innocent.

  • @robschannel4512 June 16, 2024

I would reject the district attorney.

  • @VictorSanchez-ji3wu June 16, 2024

Good judge, it does not matter what th defendant says👋👋👋👋👋👋

  • @jivonniasmith9770 June 16, 2024

Moryarti statwd that he would be worse if he is relased if he goes to adult prison. He assisted in murdering someone. He has had treatment in the past and only now cause he cant escape the facility he has some what participated to what equals to 4 months out of 4 years worth of incarceration durnig the 4 years he has still shown violent behavior. Yes he needs treatment and counseling, this should be offered during a 22 year incarcerated stay in prison

  • @Deke1 June 16, 2024

No jail term for carjacking and killing a man…unbelieveable!!

  • @Snake-qw9oh June 16, 2024

With all due respect to the Hennepin County attorney spokesperson, he should’ve thought about that before willingly getting involved in a car jacking which ended an innocent life in the first place.

  • @Miderguy_ June 16, 2024

This scumbag should never be back on the streets.

  • @asphaltgypsy4390 June 16, 2024

And just maybe the bleeding heart liberals will start to get the message…

  • @lillycham June 16, 2024

You take a life, you must be prepared to serve the time in prison. Thank you judge.

  • @roughblooduk June 16, 2024

I like that judge from what he said about his experience but I am left wondering if the judge will get into trouble. In the American system can the judge get into trouble?
